Skulls and Bones campaign.

With this campaign I'm aiming to add some great new products to the Toad King Castings range. The main item for the campaign is the Skull and Bones sheet. I already produce a Bag of 100+ resin skulls which is popular with gamers wanting to add skulls to their bases. This new product also gives modellers the opportunity to add bones to their bases also.

The sheet contains both skulls and bones and is great for adding thematic details to the bases of undead armies or evil characters. It can be used on the bases of monsters to suggest the remains of previous meals or added to terrain pieces to add a deathly theme.

The method for using the sheets is very simple and quickly creates a great looking base. I've included a tutorial below where you can see some bases being created and some painted examples.

As well as the Skull and Bones sheet I'm launching other new items in the campaign including a set of 28mm scale monster skulls, a large dragon skull and a large altar filled with bones.

Skull and Bones sheet.

Here is a quick guide to using the Skulls and Bone sheet on your bases. First carefully trim individual parts off the main sheet.

It helps to use tweezers for the next stage. Cover the base with white glue and the carefully position some of the Skull and Bone parts in the glue.

Once everything is in position cover the base in standard basing gravel or sand. Leave to dry and you have an easy custom skull and bones base for your models.

Prime and paint for a really great looking effect.

I must admit, reading the title, I though, "Great, moar skullz."

I was wrong. These look pretty good. With all the bones and the overall style, they should be useful even outside grimdark settings. Nice!

What sold me was that the 100 skull packs are £9 ($12.50) each, whereas Secret Weapon's 50 skull "sack of skulls" is $15. So I basically get 50 more for 2.50 less (minus shipping) so I added on a few other things and figure I'm getting a great deal and won't need more skulls/bones for a long time. ::D:

YA, I want to go in on that so bad but I'm really trying to cut back on my spending for the next couple of months. The only think I make break for is Tre Manors stuff, but I need to see more of it before I decide.

Those skulls would be really nice to have a few laying around to add to pieces. Almost like a "Find the skull" in my work. LOL.

I'm in. I've been putting off ordering a sack of skulls for far too long, so obviously this is meant to be.

Yay!

I actually upped my pledge yesterday to add-on for a friend who has problems with international transactions being declined by their bank unless they let the bank know ahead of time. So they just sent me the money via paypal and I added their pledge on.
