Popular Post odinsgrandson
Here's a groovy little guy I got to paint up for a fun project. Doctor Morsiarty from Scale 75's Smog Riders range. He was a really nice mini (Scale 75 does good work). I couldn't help but give him some context with a few oysters who have something of an unpleasant surprise coming to them.

CorallineAlgae
Jaw dropping! I love everything about this guy, including his base. Amazing work. That's the best painted mustache I've seen in a long time.

That's the best painted mustache I've seen in a long time. Thanks. To be honest, his 'stache wasn't all that rough to paint. It is large enough to be treated just like normal hair, and I painted it with some techniques Sue Wachowski once showed me: paint on the texture of the hair. Follow the grain on the mini, but you don't have to actually hit every hair that's sculpted. It works for most hair styles- it really just fails when minis have their hair blowing in the wind or going all over the place.
