They both looked good but I didn’t think I’d have a use for the octopus and the Bulette sculpt confused me as they had it coming out of transparent ground... Why? Dust, if you look you can see rocks in there too. It isn't just jumping out of the ground, it's EXPLODING out of the ground. BOOM! SURPRISE! Land shark! Kind of glad Grump DIDN'T have that shark for the pirates game.
Sirithiliel
i am going to try and convince the hubby to go to the game store tomorrow. It's tiny and barely has any useful minis in stock on a regular basis, but it's worth to check still

I need 2 for that one encounter later in the adventure line up. Granted I may just get 2 of the prepainted ones as that one is easier to convert then the Nolzur's one.

On the flipside, I'm seeing more details that weren't there before, which makes me wonder... Just how much of a discount do they get on this primer stuff so they can practically dunk the mini in a bucket and call it primed? o_O Three days, a whole bottle of Pine Sol, and they're on their third scrub... .Still not all of it off yet. Have you tried Simple Green? ETA---That's not a recommendation, just curiosity. @CorallineAlgae---how did the ISO alcohol experiment turn out? Pine Sol takes time, but seems to work. Which reminds me, I should probably scrub scrub scrub some dragons today, they've been in that bath for quite some time.
mikem91
I've had some success with super clean (aka purple stuff) removing the primer, but it took a little more than a week and a lot of scrubbing. Super clean also weakens the adhesive quite a bit. My Kyras had their arms detached. Even after all that, getting into the tiny details was difficult. The revealed detail didn't seem to be worth the amount of effort. Both Kyras were damaged in the experiment - mythic Kyra's arm broke from the flame bit. Conventional Kyra still had bits of primer resisting in the recesses of her robe.

Mattnuke
So we now have ‘official’ huge black, blue, green, white, brass, bronze, and copper dragons in the Nolzur’s line. Does anyone have a 5e monster manual, who can confirm that the remaining three (gold, silver, red) come in ‘huge’ size? Honestly, I think they’re a sure thing for wave 11 when it finally gets announced. I’d also like to start seeing more of the Pathfinder huge creatures included in the line. Have to admit I’ve only bought one Nolzurs dragon. Not too sure what it is, but most of them don’t appeal to me. 5

K2h2m3
On the subject of removing the primer from the figures, I've tried Isopropyl alcohol, pinesol, simple green and finally out of frustration acetone(I knew it would damage the mini at the very least). None of them worked very well. They took a very long time and required vigorous scrubbing with less than satisfactory results. Then I broke down and tried Krud Kutter graffiti remover. Thirty minute soak and maybe five minutes of scrubbing and ninety-nine percent of the primer was removed. 2
Moderator Darsc Zacal Posted August 25, 2019 Moderator Share Posted August 25, 2019 From what I’ve seen so far, the upcoming wave 10 releases seem to be pretty underwhelming. Some Dungeon dressing/terrain sets look useful. Nothing exciting. Anyone know if any big pieces are going to be released?

ETA---That's not a recommendation, just curiosity. @CorallineAlgae---how did the ISO alcohol experiment turn out? I was very happy with how the beholder came out using the 91% ISO. There are still a few spots of primer in the deep mouth crevices where the toothbrush couldn't reach, but otherwise it's a bare mini. I was so impressed that I threw in the 2 Air Genasi female rogues in the same cup of ISO. They didn't come out as clean. It took three rounds of soaking and scrubbing, but they came out about 95% stripped. Needed to use an interdental brush to scrub the hard to reach places. It's hard to get all of it off in tiny areas like between their fingers. The whole bow in general on both of them was tough. Some of the underside crevices still have a bit of primer left as well. Any parts that I couldn't scrub easily with a toothbrush plus the tiny crevices take work. I ordered some 99% ISO to see if that makes any difference. I'd love to get my hands on some graffiti remover, but that stuff is too pricey online. Edit to add: I haven't tried Simple Green yet. If you give it a go, please let us know how it works.
