Nice to see the other slaad colors come to life in that line. (not that've come across any AL adventure involving them....yet)

Also good to see a Arakocra in the unpainted line, even thou they are pretty much banned from AL play. :upside:

I do find the Balor a bit odd. 14.99 for this one but a Pit Fiend in the Path-DC lineup comes out this month. I think it's 4.99........

March is definitely gonna be a spendy month for me, next year.

Have you seen them side by side?

I think the Pit Fiend is Large, while the Balor is Huge - but I could be wrong. *EDIT* Balor is Huge in D&D 5e, Large in PF 1 and 2. Pit Fiends are Large in all.

Their arms and wings are one and the same there....

You're right. Some reason I was thinking something else. I knew they were the same appendage, just didn't click when I posted. I had to look up the 3rd edition of the birdman & they make the arms less visible but they the claws are part of the wings as well. Again, I like the 1st edition of their look better then the 5e version.

I didn't realize they were different creatures (the whole name change due to the holy mongers back in the day). They (Balor) are very nice creatures. I like em!  5e pit fiends are nasty critters too (fireball at will for starters) & going by CR are higher then the Balor (19 vs 20). I'm just happy to have official big demon/devil miniatures that don't cost a arm & a leg to buy. Prepainted ones are very spendy.

Ironically enough, his race is also used as a D&D monster name, but the two are completely unrelated.

He was the personification of the lethal summer. (Sun gods are not always the good guys.)

D&D also completely lost the sea reaver background of his people.

My local shop said he'd get his order in today. I know a few people on here have gotten a few minis from the new wave so they should be out everywhere now. I know Mini market has em as well, man that is a big release....

I need to make a list of the ones I really want now when I go up there later today. He is also having a BF sale but it only applies to existing stock (which I don't mind tbhwy).

My FLGS just had the new wave come in yesterday and was making space to fit them on the racks when I was there.

Unfortunately I couldn’t wait around as I was with Dad to pick up the Ticket to Ride Germany game he ordered and he wanted to get home.

I’ll be stopping by on my way home from work today though.^_^

So many good all purpose figures in this release. Guards in simple armor & weapons, I know I'll be eventually will get multiple packs of those. Bone Golem mainly cause the painted goes for stupid amounts of cash (why?) Pit Fiend, didn't realize it was a 15 dollar figure, looking forward to seeing this one in person. Both monk packs. I need monks for a upcoming adventure so they are coming out at the right time. As well as the orc druid, he'll be a feature villain in my Saltmarsh game when it starts back up. Looking forward to all the variations of the painted Grung figure online.

Overall a great wave & worth the wait.
