Wait till you get to the tudor walls....what a pain...Sad thing is I still feel I don't have enough....

Worse than stuff from the other sets? Also, there is never enough with this kind of thing. Never.
Oh yes...Why you might ask. Well it doesn't matter if you paint the wood first or second. Getting a dark color on a light color is a pain to fix...and trust me...it will happen...unless you decide to use tape or something...I used an entire pot of Agrax earth shape for all my walls...
You make me wonder if I made the right choice to save them for the end...

I did mine first only because I needed them for the game. I have yet to paint my sewers...I don't think it will really matter...

You will also notice when you start painting that there are "chips" in the wall typically around the windows. They are a bit hard to see but once you put paint on them they are made apparent. depending on how you want to paint them. You will not want the bright color in the chips either...

Thanksfor the heads up. Not sure it will happen this month, but I hope so. I plan to paint my terrain between painting sessions with the competition mini I just started.

I got a little bit done while my daughter was eating a snack after school today. Hopefully I can sneak in more paint time after the kids go to bed. (Despite the lighting, I swear they are brown now. They match all the other pieces.)

Finished the first step on all of the pieces that are only wood texture (tudor walls, roofs, and posts are left...as are a number of accessories).

Here is the most recently painted batch (note that the stuff in the previous picture is in this picture too):

Hit everything with Step 2 (highlights), and now just need to pick out the details like the nails on the floors, handles on the shutters, the water in the barrels and the food in the crates. Gave me an excuse to binge watch three episodes of Walking Dead.

I also need to start thinking about how to handle the magnetic tavern signs. Freehand or buy some decals?

Getting really close on these. Most of this is 100% complete. Not done: candles, torches, food crates and barrels, stone parts of the ruined floors on left, and the signs (if I get crazy and decide to try freehand).
