You did a great job painting up a wolf pelt.

Our of curiosity, aside from the label on the blister, are there any sculpt details that say warg. rather than wolf? (I have not looked at the sculpt closely, and your paint job sells me on "wolf")

Thanks everyone for the comments!  Getting the fur color transitions just right was a real challenge, so I'm glad the extra work on them paid off.

klarg- The size is the biggest factor.  Its hard to tell in the photo because theres nothing to scale him with, but he actually is huge and comes up chest or shoulder high on my other Reaper minis.  Also, I think the upper body, in the shoulders, chest, and neck area, is much larger compared to the rest of the body than it would be in a regular wolf.

      So....
Cinder didn't work out for my return to hobbying, so I decided to try something a bit less ambitious....

Reading back through past projects, I saw one of the hangout minis of the month was Blacktounge, Gnoll Ranger from Reaper, and remembered that I had picked up this set at a paint day with the New England Miniatures folks at the Citadel games store....

I figure if I can follow my old WIP, I won't be stressing to much, and I will have another figure to add to the Frostgrave warband that was started so long ago,,,,

So the 2 got assembled and puttied, and now the never ending search for minor mold lines can begin when the putty is dry...

      thanks for taking a look!
      Wish me luck!!!!

Happy New Year's Eve everyone. To end the year with a little snow, I completed this base today. I had painted the Yeti two years ago, and he was only lacking a thematic basis. This is the Bones version of 77434, Yeti Chieftain sculpted by Jason Wiebe. The artificial snow is BF4103 from Army Painter Battlefields. The icicles were made with pieces of translucent plastic and gloss Mod Podge.

Hi all.  Another entry in my winter-themed minis.  This guy was intended to serve as the BBEG in my Frostrun campaign.  Kriger was the descendant of a greedy half-giant king who's line had been cursed to undeath.  Kriger sought to lead an army of Draugr and vikings to reclaim his family throne.  This "chaos warrior" model from Bones 4 was perfect.

      More Below the Spoiler:

I really like how this guy turned out.  He was one of those minis where I really pushed myself and tried some different things.  I think it shows.  Hopefully I'll get to continue his story, and return to my Frostrun game.  Maybe by then I'll have found some suitable viking-esque warriors to accompany him.
