I used to use the Krylon Flat Black Camo with Fusion spray paint all the time to prime my Bones, and it worked great! Unfortunately, none of the stores in my area carry it anymore. :(

Here's a couple of orcs I primed with it back in October of 2013, by way of example, and am happy to report still no tackiness:

Strange. I use this stuff all over my metal stuff, and it basically is just like the regular flat Krylon black/gray/white, except that it has color.

What is missing from the camo range that the regular Krylon has, that makes it okay to use while the regular stuff is forbidden?

I dunno.  I tried regular Krylon primer and it's hit or miss when it comes to plastics and PVC.

But apparently this has plastic fusion?  And is specifically formulated to be used on plastic parts.

I can't wait to try it out on some of the Tim Mee cheap cavemen and skeletons.

"Plastic fusion" (or as Krylon calls it, "Fusion for Plastic") doesn't mean anything.

I suspect all it means is that that particular paint is formulated without the solvents that have undesirable short- and long-term problems with plastics.

They do not seem to be trying to draw attention to it, but it looks like one should not trust any Krylon spray product on plastics unless it specifically says safe for plastics on the label.

I have used the khaki as a base coat for painting camo on *metal* CAV models, most recently a pair of Ryoshis I rescued from the melt table a couple years ago.

edit: figured I better specify metal figures. I haven't used any of the Krylon fusion paints on any of the Bones yet.
