This is a group of wraiths made by Grenadier figures many, many years ago. I know that the wraith on the round dirt base is Grenadier; his base says so. The rest I'm not certain about, but they look the same, so I'm making an assumption. If I'm wrong, please let me know and I'll correct this post.

There isn't much to say about these guys, there's not really a whole lot there. I tried to make them more interesting by putting more effort into the bases, especially the 'floating' guy; I think that worked out very nicely.

Tabletop paint; please let me know what you think.

That middle guy is Grenadier, from the Monsters box. One of the few goods ones in there (I have some recasts of it). It also contains one of my favorite Grenadier pieces, the Balor Type VI Demon.

Thanks for the replies, everyone.

Nice job bringing up the simple figures and with the creative basework.

Thanks! I think it took me longer to figure out how to base them than it did to paint them.

These are cool! I like how their facelessness is emphasized by the dark paint jobs. Makes them look really eerie!

Thank you both!

Cool. The shadow hides the stand well to make these guys really look like they are floating.

That's what I was hoping for.

So here's another miniature from the days gone by, a Julie Guthrie Female Giant, originally in her All Things Dark and Dangerous line.  This is apparently version two of the miniature.  The first one I painted maybe a year or so ago, a more primitive looking hill giant lady, who has always been one of my favorite figures Julie has sculpted along with her female centaur

      Anyhoos, here she is:

and then afterwards a comparison photo so you can see her against one of her contemporaries, a female mage:

once again, color choice was so hard and I have no idea where the inspiration for purple hair came from. I think it was due to the fact that she wasn't a earth-tone hill giant, but a little more civilized. And we all know most civilized women have purple hair.

      Anyhows, hope you enjoy!

Taletha knew she was ready, she had studied the grimoire, practiced the ritual over and over again.
She would call upon the Spiritworld and ask for a champion to avenge her parents.
Power surged through her when she spoke the forbidden words, a cold wind blew her candle out and suddenly the spirit appeared.

This is a vintage mini, Grenadier Dragonman Sorcerer, I got it from a BOGW a few years ago.

I will use him as a Demon Officer in my Children of the Grave army, because I think he looks a bit like a classic Demon.

It's night, it rains and it seems everybody in this forsaken town has closed their doors and windows.
Even the Inn seems to be closed, why?
One would think the villagers are afraid of something.

You hear the sound of wings in the dark sky above you.
Suddenly you hear a soft voice:
All alone in the dark? How nice!

You turn around and the last thing you see is the Necromera.
