I've got a few fires in the iron right now with various fun projects on my desk. This one stems from this base I build in the Las Vegas Open basing masterclass. I envisioned 2 figures running through a stream with the banks jutting up on either side, I just needed to find the right figures... So I saw Berserk Big Boris and knew he was the chaser, the perfect counterpart was the Pathfinder Agent who is high-tailing it out of there with his prized Skull Trophy!

So here's the base I made. I also modded boris up to have a full on beard and long hair that is being blown back by the wind. I plan on having him to the right as you look at the tree and her to the left going around the bend.

Impressive so far.  I really like that base!  Sounds like a cool plan too.

Thanks! I learned a lot in that Master Class for basing, it was taught by Seth Amsden, who was a great instructor and really amazing with his bases.

What an awesome base! This is going to be good! You are such a good story teller with your vignettes and dioramas.

Cool Base!

Are you going to attach a handle and drill out the skull to make it look more like a mug?

And which Lady forumite are you going to ask to be the Pathfinder Agent to your Big Boris? ::D:

Just the skull as is. No mods to make it a mug, just his prized skull she stole before he could make it into his mug :;):

Finally finished an NPC mage that plays a recurring role in my campaign. Now that she’s done the party will probably never return to her castle .. fun to paint

Further efforts to produce a dozen dragons this year brought me out to the desert sands where even dragons new to worry about being spotted if they want a decent meal.  To this end desert dragons are campflaged to look like the ground from above and the sky from below.

      Hope you enjoy him

Here is my take on the Dance of Death sculpt from the Bones 4 Kickstarter.

I really enjoyed this one,  finishing it up this last winter. I saw someone mention somewhere online that they were bummed that the heads didn't exactly line up, but I found it reminiscent of dogs when they are snarling while looking sidelong at each other.

Apologies for the scratches and discolorations on the background. I've been meaning to pick up some black cloth to improve that.

      Thanks for taking a look!

I have done about 15 minis over the past year (starting with the Learn to Paint kit), after taking a 30+ year break from painting lead with Testors enamel. Each one I try to learn or improve one technique. This one I focused on pose & basing (took a little surgery to get rid of the pudding base and shape all the claws). The 'rock' is a chunk of bark. Any comments, critiques, questions or suggestions are welcome. Between this forum and YouTube, I am amazed on the knowledge and information available, in an overall great community. Getting ready for Bones V delivery!
