Popular Post Shogun
Had a bunch of KS come in and have been painting like mad. These are afew characters that will be playing Out of the abyss (dnd5e). I suck at photos and worse at editing. I made a lightbox and read up but the photos turned out.. not ideal. I'd like a quick "snap" of the camera lens followed by a "click" of a default edit button to get the photos as I would prefer to send my time painting or planning the campaign then photography. I use GIMP on a MAC if you have any advice that would be most helpful! Stonehaven Elf archer: Stonehaven Dragonborn rogue/pirate EFS (finally got them!) Dwarf Gladiator Drake Polearm fighter (sadly wont be getting any more of these as this KS was a BUST, oh my poor wallet.)
Jay
The photos aren't that bad. They look pretty good 1614
JDizzO
Great job on an interesting bunch of minis. For the pictures, the background could be effecting them. Especially the middle two. A neutral color background is always advised, such as grey. I know exactly how you feel though as I am still getting the hang of it myself. I also would much rather spend my time painting and planning campaigns. Seems like whenever I post it ends up taking most of the night for one reason or another.
BLZeebub
Nice. I really like the spotty highlights on the archer. They add just enough light for some contrast and depth.
Moderator Darsc Zacal Posted April 5, 2016 Moderator Share Posted April 5, 2016 Really like your work on the minis. You've a clean/crisp painting style which I like. The pictures do look a bit yellow though. I'm guessing you're not using "Daylight" bulbs. If you can, try to replace what you're using in your light box with them. Should make a noticable difference.
Pochi
Nice minis. My favorite is the first one. Really good face, hair, and highlights.
robinh
Nice minis! Let me know how you are planning the initial phases of OOTA as I am also starting up this D&D 5e campaign and I have wondered about some of the game mechanics.

Some cameras have a "white balance" setting to correct the color for various kinds of bulbs.
