Paint Track Apps?

Just wanted to chime in and say that I'm loving the app and I found the free version covered all my needs, but I bought the full version because I felt that your dedication to the app and the community was above and beyond and I very much appreciate that.

Paint by die roll button? Set the number of slots and it auto fills based on what you own?

 

Mystery paint box subscription? $20 a month you get mailed a random set of paints.

 

@CitizenCane Button? Sorts your paints by a different setting so you have to reorganize all your paint storage rather than paint?

I assume you mean like FW Inks or Liquitex? If so, Liquitex is in this update :D. FW Inks probably next time.

That is one word for it. :)  Would be awesome for them to use during the paint by die fun or even sophie says.  "Sophie says to paint your skin......<push randomize button>.... Alien Goo Green"

 

We just want it for home so i don't need to  use a random number gen....and then count through paints in app until I get to number 123. :)

Yessir! @Ludo runs the "Hobby Hijinks" including all the paint 'n Take, Speed paint, Sophie says, and Paint by Die Roll (My personal favorite)

Sophie Says is the Speed Paint with Shenanigans from hecklers and the "Sophie" giving random instructions (Simon Says)... "Sophie says stand up and paint on one foot....Sophie says your minis are too bland, paint with purple now!..... Sophie says you can only use the back of your brush to paint!" Its a heckin' good time. The random button could certainly introduce some new shenanigans here.

 

Paint By Die roll is the random colors determined by rolling the dice (20 colors on the table plus some freebies for shading)

 

All armor will be painted *rolls* Aliean Goo Green, All hair will be *rolls* Monarch purple...etc... A random button with a preloaded paint set would be awesome for this one!!

Both are completely different events.

 

Sophie Says is a game where a speaker announces "Sophie Says: do this!" And then you have a bunch of hijinks including:

• Paint with more red/green/pink
• Paint under the table
• Paint with arms linked with person next to you
• Paint with arms above your head
• Paint without brush
• Paint with handle
• Paint with cotton swab
• Switch palette with neighbor.
• Paint while walking around table.
• Paint and sing!
• Paint with your off-hand.
• Paint while holding brush in mouth.
• Paint each feet of different colors.
• Paint a smiley face.
• Paint with your eyes closed.
• etc.

Paint by Die Roll is where you have a bunch of pre-selected paints in front of you, each with an assigned number from 1-20. You roll a d20 for the group, and the result is the paint chosen for a particular part of the mini. Skin tone; base color; highlight; shadow; armor; cloth; etc. Everyone at the table uses the same colour combination, but with mostly with different minis.

 

You'll be getting some pretty awesome/horrible/colourful results.

• Pick n random paints from your collection
• Pick 1 random from a set of predefined paints

Would that cover both cases?

I believe so. @Ludo is the boss man so He can probably weigh in when he's not busy at work.

That's the basics of it, yes.

 

If you can also fit a colour wheel approximation option, that would bring it up a notch in colour combos. For added craziness, those colours get assigned to a specific predetermined area.

 

Something we did earlier this year was the Rainbow Dragon Challenge which was the same principle as the paint by die roll.
