2016 Spring Exchange - Female Elven Ranger with Bow

Recommended Posts

That is beautiful! The colors and composition are great. I love how you did the little base to display it on as well. Really cool!

I bought a bunch of those balls when I was in the states and forgot to pack them to bring them back to Australia with me! /facepalm

Wow, what a stunningly executed and excellent idea! The photos you managed through the ball are wonderful! They make it look like a dream, or an image being viewed in a crystal ball. And I love all the scenic details on the base.

This piece is really as great as it looks!  It also travelled really well, with only some static grass needing to be wiped from the bubble when it got here and we did spin a bit so I needed to open the bubble and spin it back.  to its correct position (just for information some static grass got in the tape holding the diorama in place which is why it is free floating.)

It really is gorgeous!  and the little animals, artifacts and mushrooms (love the tree ear fungus) really complete the piece.  You do excellent work but this and the bard on the pen are two of your best.

Thank you sooooo much!

Finished my first mini this year, and oddly enough it was a speedpaint, taking just over an hour...

On the flipside, some of those colours work together really, REALLY well, like Sunrise Orange and Heart Throb Paint.

I finished Mason Thornwarden a little earlier today. He's painted up to a (hopefully) decent tabletop standard. I've been reading a lot about Rangers of Shadowdeep on various blogs all over the internet; I can neither confirm nor deny that is what may have led to his selection for the paintbrush.
Let me know what you think of him, please.

This is a Patrick Keith sculpt  from the Warlord range and I have loved it since it came out years ago.  She would be a really cool player character, I don't know why we don't see her more often.  Great dynamic movement with this one.  Anyway, I threw some color on her, so maybe she'll end up on the table one day.

I painted her up as a fun project. Let me know what you think.
I am trying to improve my painting abilities.
The purple marking on her thigh was supposed to be a skull tattoo, it didn't really work as well as I had hoped.

Her face is way lighter in real life. In the pics she looks like she's got stubble...
