All the information you need should be here.

Your challenge is: 4 - IF you did a fools guild miniatures, the challenge becomes 3 for this month as stated in March

Bonus Challenge:
Backwards: In honor of how absurdly stupid and backwards the weather has been lately - paint a miniature using your offhand only. You can still use your main hand to hold it and such, but all application of paint to miniature must be done with your non-dominant hand.
Extra Bonus Challenge:

The first modern olympics since ancient times were held in Athens, Greece, 1896. Bonus Challenge 2 is: Make all figures for the month into a diorama honoring the competition, ceremony or competition (winter or summer olympiad, your call)

I am fond of that song, and rather a lot of early Simon and Garfunkel.

Still grinding on with the Dungeon Saga. Painting threes of everything is getting a bit tedious really. I might very well break up the grind with something completely different for a while.

At any rate, the grindy samey a bit boring stuff is to be found on my blog, linked below. I will as usual only post Reaper minis and maybe a few others that I find interesting in the show off thread.

Reaper

1 Cloaker (Bones 77391)

Dungeon Saga:

3 Dwarf Revenants (Base game)

3 Armoured Zombies (Base game)

3 Skeleton Archers (Base game)

3 Skeleton Swordsmen (Base game)

3 Zombie Trolls (Base game)

3 Mawbeasts (Warlord of Galahir expansion)

Oldhammer

1 Zombie

[[ Placeholder post: miniatures TBD. Probably will paint terrain for the off-handed bonus category. ]]

The only thing I managed was to start painting a copy of Sir Forscale I did not know I had.

...but him I didn't finish. So, fail, fail, fail, fail...

While not technically a rule...if you paint terrain for the bonus, please try to do something more interesting than flat terrain. Something like a chair, bookcase, etc

Chairs and bookcases ? ...that's not terrain. Temples, spawning pools, hills, idols, megaliths, cromlechs, and huts are terrain.

Trees!

Eta: sometimes terrain has chairs, bookcases, or shelves... ...thems is furniture or something.

OK, I think April needs to be the month where I finish some cool minis. Luckily I have a few on the go! ::D:

1. Von Wodr, Otter Mercenary. (WIP) (Yeah, I know, he's shown up on my list every month so far. I really do plan to finish him this time though.)

2. Female Wraith (Store) (WIP)

3. Reaper Con 2004 Sophie

4. Mocking Beast (Store)

I also have a few Anhurian archers on the go, which should be easy to finish in the next month.

      Story
Corvus Corax Miniatures is a small hobby project created in 2013. Since then, four projects have successfully funded on Kickstarter and all have been fully delivered on time without any delays. The feedback from the backers have only been positive!
The goal of this project is to raise funds for the production a total of four (4) miniatures for the Sons of Yetl Black. The miniatures will be cast in high quality, non-toxic resin. The scale of the miniatures is 35mm (measuring to the eyes in a standing, straight pose, although some characters may be slightly larger because they are supposed to be large characters).
Strendu Bodaway Pachoa Niyol  (Actual copies of the resin miniatures. Note that the resin miniatures below are not 100% in scale with each other, but resized for editing purposes.)

So after too many years of painting with my bottles just in boxes or standing around on my shelf of shame or in various drawers, I have finally at much cost of labor made paint organizers!  BEHOLD!  I made these to hold up to 204 Reaper dropper sized bottles (Army Painter and Vallejo fit too).  They aren't the only ones I use by any means, but they're the bulk of my paint collection.

Wasn't the hardest thing in the world, but honestly I might try another method if I do this again.  Right now the units are loose, probably going to lean them on the wall--eventually I would put supports on the backs so they can stand up at an angle (think picture frames).  The insane super duper bonus feature is that I can put the two together and transport, or more importantly, SHAKE all my paints at once!  The main purpose was organization though and being able to see each of my paints and, when I've organized and sorted them, see the spectrum at a glance rather than digging through a drawer as I have been doing.  For the chromophiles out there I'll post pics when they're sorted and in their proper places.

To make them, I sized the bottles and figured out the hole size and spacing (bottles are about 1" diameter, I used a 1 1/8" hole saw (paddle bit blew out the back side) and drilled 102 holes (sandwiched the 3/4" boards together).  It took hours as my drills' batteries kept dying and the saw lost its good edge by the 60th holes or so.  I used the "holes" I drilled out as supports (had to chisel the middle supports in half) between the silver parts and the 5mm (yes, civilized world, in the US we know how to use proper/metric, and certain sizes of wood are specified in metric!) plywood base (black, not really visible).  I carefully glued and screwed these together.  Decided to use up some spray paint I had lying around.  Enjoy and be inspired!

The Al Fasid, also known as "The Corrupted", are HaqqIslam's heavy troopers that will get the job done no matter the cost.  Their methods aren't always the prettiest, and they're never the stealthiest, and they have their own tricks they bring with them to the table.  They don't care about glory, and are solely chosen for their solid record of getting the job done.  Some enjoy it, some are in it for the solid paycheque, and others do it because the only thing theyy know what to do is fight.  Today I have the HMG version, who also conveniently carries a grenade launcher that can shoot either regular grenades to keep enemy heads down, or smoke grenades to provide additional cover.  Oh, they also pack anti-personnel mines with them too...

Since the "tactical rock" under his right foot kind of looked rather strikingly like the backpack for a Yu Jing (even though I'm not having any luck finding models to confirm this), I decided to try and test out my planned colour scheme for them.  That's right, I'll be going with a dark raver / cyberpunk burnt neon pink for their general colour, because why not - I'm going with hot orange for my Haqq...

All the information you need should be here.

As a change of pace from the Hard Mode Challenge, this round will have a Skill Challenge.

      May and June 2019 Challenge

      Your challenge is: 9!

      Bonus Challenge: The First!
"Mayday!" is an international distress signal used in verbal communication in ships and aircraft.  Your first bonus challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to paint a miniature in some distress.  This could be a diorama, an adventurer falling into a trap, villian whose weapon just broke, or anything else your mind can conjure.

      Bonus Challenge: The Second!
The Solstices: June marks the beginning of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere and Winter in the Southern Hemisphere.  Paint a miniature or a pair of miniatures showcasing this duality.

      Skill Challenge: OSL
Try your hand at painting a miniature using OSL or Object-Source Lighting.  If you feel like this is something that is already in your wheelhouse, work on your technical skills in another area.  Practice NMM, TMM, wet-blending, sculpting, or anything else you've been meaning to try.

As always, the game is made up and the points don't matter!
