Female Vampire by Glitterwolf Not-Vampirella Ironwind

Recommended Posts

A litte surprise attack ( No WIP). A quick job , I painted her in 2 hours to try some stuff out.

She's from Ironwind Metals ( Ral Partha) and she is a lookalike of Vampirella, only a "bit" more "developed".

She might not be nude but she wears so little I decided to link the Pics ..because well she might as well be naked.

I had fun painting her and I tried a marble green base, not sure if this worked out, but practice practice...right?

Paints involved..The Reaper Vampire Skin Triad..Scale 75 Antares Red, Inktense Red, Chestnut Ink , Elven Gold, Decay Black and Deep Blue.

Vallejo Dark Forest Green , Reaper Olive Green Triad.

*** Ooohh I like my new outfit...Thx Wolfie!!!  SMOOCH!!!****

***  Blushes*** You're welcome..it's nothing ***

*** Giggle..now now, It's not entirely nothing, It's not like I'm not wearing anything***

**** ARE YOU DONE PLAYING WITH THAT TROLLUP???, Put that tongue back in your mouth and get to work!!!***

*** Yes Countess...It's not what it looked like Countess...I was just...Oh Shut up you dog!***

*** Wow that one has a temper...see ya around wolfie...***

Dude, there's a word for people who talk to their miniatures. At least in public...

I remember that vamp! Glad to see she's still in production.

I bought that one from their by the ounce bins at gencon a few years ago. I have her started but my hand is nowhere near steady enough to paint the thin strips that make up her "outfit". But I'm in a bit of a "finish old minis binge" so maybe I'll get back to her.

At any rate. Good job. She looks good.

      Another one bites the dust….😆

One of my favorite sculpt…but in the old Bones plastic. I put a little extra into the base, otherwise it was a pretty straight forward zen of Bones quick paint job. Overall I like the scheme and it has given me ideas for when I paint my metal version. Not sure about the green face and the blue glow under the rib cage is too subtle.

And as an aside …..the quality of Testors Dullcoat is not nearly as good as it was a decade ago. The newer formulation continues to give me a semi gloss finish.  Oh well.

Presenting the Gladiator, part of the Echoes Of Death series from Kingdom Death.

Another one rescued from the Cupboard Of Unfinished Things. My Kingdom Death minis always turn out fairly hit or miss, and I think this one falls a bit on the miss side, but I like the job I did on her shield.
Just wish they'd stop with the dramatic dust clouds, can never figure out how to paint them!

      My stash will arrive today!
I haven't done a WIP in a very long time , something I intend to remedy.
I am extremely excited to get my hands on my contribution to Bones 5, the Whispering Ghoulsbane. Maybe more so than any prior piece I have made. Seeing as how I don't actually have the mini in had at this moment, Id thought I'd fill this space with some history about the concept.

I like to watch reviews for feedback on pieces I've made (and learned a lot).  A few review waffled on what the thing was, exactly. Part of me revels in this ambiguity -it is what you want it to be. That said it does have a mundane monster  origin story.......wait, say, lets make a game of it!

Which "old school" monster served as the primary inspiration for the Whispering Ghoulsbane? take a guess.

Wait wait wait! it's here, at this very moment! Delivery! let the prepping begin.
      Step 1: Open the bag.

      That is all for now.

Presenting Tirinha Fallowheart, a Dreadmere faction mini made by Reaper.

Didn't put much effort into this one, it's a nice mini but I think mine is a bit miscast (her details are a little soft and mushy in places).
