Massive Darkness

People say they don't want more due to oversaturation with them in black plague... (still don't have my black plague by the way...) but I would like at least a few more heroes.

They still have the healer class to add, and a couple more character classes are likely coming. Some people were asking to have a male and female character for each class. Hopefully that becomes a real thing. I'm not sure if we will see more than 2 figures for each class, but that would still give us a fair number of heroes for such an enemy focused game.

Best line is assembly line! :D

Anyway, when the trogs hit retail, they can be bought as a $35 expansion set for 23 mini's.

You're right that they don't fit the game -- they have bald heads, not pointy caps. :D

I think that retail set also has the minotaur, which is my favorite model in the entire game so far. I might just drop out and wait for that if nothing else cool turns up later. Glad to see they added some actual campaign mode to the game instaed of restarting every game from square 1 over and over. I don't see why they couldn't have had this from the start.

I'm not a big fan of the second set of Trogs...they look a little too civilized with all their metal armor.  I was picturing essentially cavemen barbarians with the description and name.  It's not that they're a bad design, they just don't mesh well with the others.

The Minotaur, however, is pure WCIII Tauren Chieftain, which is awesome.

That card set sounds slightly more useful for playing Massive Darkness than for playing Zombicide Black Plague.  Without wanting to sound pedantic the term "Crossover" seems inappropriate to me.  Its about porting characters and monsters from one system to the other.

I would be more interested in a set of Black Plague scenarios using the tiles from this set.  That would seem like added value worth the extra purchase.

Strange that they are not going to make the cards available at retail.  What would be the motivation?  :;,;:

$8.00 just transformed 2 separate games into 1 Massive game ( :;):). And its the retail BP stuff only, so $8 adds the potential to add a whole lot of extra content down the road if you are not interested now. The extra hero options will be great, not to mention more varied enemies.

I still haven't gotten my Black Plague wave 2.... and the last update confirms that I am one of the unlucky last... but this addon is pretty nice. I Did not get Rum and Bones, but if they did a cross over pack for that I think I would probably pick it up.... Also if they made my Bloodrage guys badguys I would pick up the cross over as well.

That Nightmare Thing is a very appealing monster.

Seems like of unimaginative to simply describe it as "The Nightmare Thing has no combat stats of its own, instead it gets as many Attack and Defense dice as the best stats among the heroes," which doesn't really correspond to the description in the graphic.

The description sounds fun.  I could see this as an interesting monster to throw in since there is no reason it wouldn't eat dwarves, orcs and goblins, thus making itself even more powerful.  The longer you avoid killing it the stronger it gets for every good or bad guy it eats.

Use your imagination, the MD tiles could be the Vaults in Z:BP if you have the table space. I agree about the monsters being used in Zombicide though, it would have been nice for a few spawn cards of Trog/Orc/Goblin survivors for the heroes to have to battle with in the BP game.

"You kick in the door of a building to find a safe place to avoid the Deadeyes and inside is ... *draws card* ... a small horde of Orcs. Living ones.".. Lovely.
