Massive Darkness

For my expectations for a dungeon crawler, the games going to suck, it's just never going to satisfy my itch for a good dungeon crawl. I would have to house rule the snot out of it to keep anyone without ADHD from wanting to play it more than 3 times. It's always going to feel like a repetitive borefest game with 'something' missing. Because it is missing [it]. But if you're in it for a fast hack and slash with a basic skill tree with some classes that kinda seem different then this is your kind of game. If you want even a bit of complexity or depth or story, move along.

My plans for it, use the tiles in Black Plague for the vaults, keep some of the monster figs for BP as native "survivors and living opponets" which I'll probably have to print my own spawn cards for (I doubt the crossover will add them), use the heroes as heroes. Might be able to use the cards for something, probably not. Or I may just drop out and save my cash for Z:BP2. I'll wait and see what gets unlocked.

I think it's less that CMON advertised it wrong, and more that the moment they said Dungeon crawler everybody immediately assumed it would do everything they every wanted from such a game which for many of us was an 'almost an RPG, but without the need for a GM', and include all the mechanics and options that we've liked from every other dungeon crawler we've played

I don't think anything (playable in a reasonable boardgame session time) will ever do everything we (as a group) want

Does anyone own black plague's doors? Does it fit with dwarven forge and other D&D terrain?

I haven't had a chance to inventory BP yet, but can check this if you haven't found an answer yet. Assuming this was something that wasnt a paid add on. Let me know.

I think the 3d doors was a paid add-on... I want to learn how to craft buildings and would love to use these.

Is Z:BP2 a real thing?  I know the first (err, 4th version of the game) was a hit, but I haven't heard for sure that they're doing season 2 (err, 5).  I thought Massive Darkness was the next iteration.

From what has been said/leaked they have said there are no current plans for Zombicide 4 (the modern version) and they are working on Zombicide black plague 2 next. It has been rumored that this will be CMON's next kickstarter.

CMON will be making Gekido Bot Battles, Bloodborne, and The Godfather this year but I'm not sure which ones, if any, will be kickstarters. (see here)

When was the last time CMON released something that wasn't a Kickstarter?

Without looking I'd guess last month... They release things quite regularly outside of kickstarter these days. People are always asking what CMON does with it's kickstarter profits, it doesn't take much digging to find the answer is buying games and hiring designers with plans to become one of the largest non-Asmodee game companies left.

Checking the BGG database...

Grizzled: At Your Orders! wlll be published later this year.

Looterz has or will be published in 2016. No much info about the game in the BGG database.

Wanka Tanka has or will be published in 2016. Some discussion from two months ago, so I'd say this game was released then.

Wrath of Kings: Honor and Treachery – The Battle of Ravenwood has been out for at least a month.

See the publisher's page on BGG for more info.

There is also about half a dozen games that were out of print that CMON bought the rights to and released/are releasing this year.
