Oneboot were you serious about trying to build that in Minecraft?

 

I ask because one of my Sharpie pens tried to figure out the ground plan of the castle...view from overhead...on graph paper...

Whenever a new randomness thread starts I post in it early on with the best of intentions to participate regularly.

But then before you know it I'm 500 posts behind and have to skip ahead just to keep current only to find that the next time I check in I'm now 600 posts behind.

I looked up an interesting book and it was listed as $16.96 on Amazon.

 

I wasn't signed in on that device and didn't want to be, so I switched to another one where I was signed in and looked up the book.

 

Amazon told me it was $24.95.

 

Apparently it is WELL worth checking Amazon both signed in and not signed in, because its prices are not the same.

 

 

Oh dear...I'll have to look into that, I'm logged into Amazon ALL THE TIME. Or perhaps I could check the difference between my account (which we both use), and my husband's account (which only gets used a few times a year when he orders something for me and doesn't want the "Your item, ____, has shipped!" notifications going to my email, lol).   

 

 

 

Now I want spanakopita.

I actually kind of was! I tend to gravitate toward mega-projects, but my actual architectural sense is pretty weak, so the designs themselves tend to be fairly simple. Like my glorious Bifrost tower, which is all rainbow wool and colored glass and glowstone, placed in a swirl pattern what looks all fancy; but design-wise it's literally just a gigantic super-tall cylinder.   My one attempt at a castle was a box with a tall, straight, square tower on each corner. I felt really clever when I gave the towers crenellations.

 

Dude, if you can get me blueprints, I can make it happen.

What happened to Jack?  I missed it, buried back in VIII someplace...last I saw, he was posting about sculpting something tiny.

To be fair, I used slightly different search terms on each device and as someone wiser than I pointed out, that and different search histories could have brought up slightly different pages, editions, or even sellers.

 

I may have jumped to conclusions too fast, is what I am saying.
