This is the original guys:

[snip big picture of awesome castle on floating boulder]

Somebody should build it in Minecraft. (I bet someone has.)

Huzzah!

--OneBoot :D

Oneboot were you serious about trying to build that in Minecraft?

I ask because one of my Sharpie pens tried to figure out the ground plan of the castle...view from overhead...on graph paper...

Whenever a new randomness thread starts I post in it early on with the best of intentions to participate regularly.

But then before you know it I'm 500 posts behind and have to skip ahead just to keep current only to find that the next time I check in I'm now 600 posts behind.

We'll see how this one goes. No promises.

Phew!

I looked up an interesting book and it was listed as $16.96 on Amazon.

I wasn't signed in on that device and didn't want to be, so I switched to another one where I was signed in and looked up the book.

Amazon told me it was $24.95.

Apparently it is WELL worth checking Amazon both signed in and not signed in, because its prices are not the same.

Oh dear...I'll have to look into that, I'm logged into Amazon ALL THE TIME. Or perhaps I could check the difference between my account (which we both use), and my husband's account (which only gets used a few times a year when he orders something for me and doesn't want the "Your item, ____, has shipped!" notifications going to my email, lol).

Now I want spanakopita.

Whazzat?

Spinach in philo dough. With garlic.

Oooooooh, that sounds heavenly...

@Mad Jack - Oh no, I'm so sorry, that stinks on ice! :( My uncle had that happen to him; after several years at [unnamed computer company], he showed up to work one day and was just told to clean out his desk. Just like that.

I actually kind of was! I tend to gravitate toward mega-projects, but my actual architectural sense is pretty weak, so the designs themselves tend to be fairly simple. Like my glorious Bifrost tower, which is all rainbow wool and colored glass and glowstone, placed in a swirl pattern what looks all fancy; but design-wise it's literally just a gigantic super-tall cylinder. :upside:  My one attempt at a castle was a box with a tall, straight, square tower on each corner. I felt really clever when I gave the towers crenellations.

Dude, if you can get me blueprints, I can make it happen.  :B):

Huzzah!

To be fair, I used slightly different search terms on each device and as someone wiser than I pointed out, that and different search histories could have brought up slightly different pages, editions, or even sellers.

I may have jumped to conclusions too fast, is what I am saying.

He's out of a job.

@Mad Jack. Wishing you all the best in finding something new. I've gone through a job change myself a couple of times in the last few years. Never fun but I hope you find something even better.

Kobolds haven't even got the food service going yet...

...and so far it is un-besmirched with ...glitter...

*looks up from applying intensely glittery purple nail polish to her nails*

Oh, uh...I can do this elsewhere.  :upside:

These guys are the truly random offerings I have wrapped up so far this year.  Many were half-finished somewhere beforehand, but I don't keep track of start dates.

To start of 2019 with hopes of a revised Mordheim, I offer another (converted) Pit Fighter to the bloody streets.

Mantic's scatter terrain from Terrain Crate

      A fat jailer from Paizo

A Dwarf Prisoner from the same Paizo set.

An iconic Rat Catch from Mega Minis.  I think Turnkey Miniatures makes it these days.

      A Barbarian porter from Frostgrave

      A Dwarf Waitress from TAG

And a converted Kislevite Archer from Warhammer parts.

...not just the recently completed Bones Kickstarter II.

We had a lot of good conversations going in the sadly locked Discussion Thread, so we should keep them going! This isn't a place for random nonsequiters and tangents... but every good conversation should have an implicit level of drift, so while we start here with Bones-type talk, we shouldn't feel obligated to keep it on that subject.

Especially since that would quickly get us exiled to the Bones forum.

But on the subject of Bones Kickstarter II, Bryan has created an official Q&A thread over in the Bones forum, and the subject of "what did we not see in this Kickstarter" came up - what stretch goals did we miss? To which Bryan replied...

Since off-topic discussion in that thread is discourage, I thought I would come over here for my response...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO WHY GOD WHY WE MISSED TALIN ART NONONONONONONONO

YES. SHE MUST BE MINE, HUZZAH!

ETA: She's one I really hope gets the double treatment, Bones and metal, but if I had to pick one... mrrrgh. I think, if she's Large, I'd prefer Bones. If she's human sized, I'd prefer metal...
