Last Knight
Hey all, Friend of mine purchased a Bones SotF today, and we encountered a conundrum putting it together; namely, the pegs on the shoulders for the arms to slot on seem to be absent. Is this a casting error, or were they left off this model?
TGP
Pretty sure there should be pegs.
Pingo
I just put one together recently and there definitely were pegs. How strange that this copy would be missing them and only them.
TGP
This brand and formula should sort out the assembly problem: Even if the pegs are MIA.
Last Knight
This brand and formula should sort out the assembly problem: Even if the pegs are MIA. You are quite likely correct, but; this is a newbie friend, who has never worked with minis before. We did 2/3 of the the Bones LTPK last night, and they are the first minis she has painted, ever: and she enjoyed the experience enough that she immediately went out and hit up two hobby stores today for a Dragon Turtle, SotF, and some Vallejo paints (since nobody local apparently carries MSP). I would like this to be done *right.*

The bonding surface between the old hilt and the new blade was an oval about 3mm x 2mm. That glue fused the plastic so well it will never come loose, it's like it chemically bonds or something.

First thing I told her when we opened it up; I just needed confirmation that things were in error.
haldir
If anything you can help her learn the art of pinning & converting with that mini. Even thou Bones don't really need a pin, with these missing the stem anyways. Nice learning experience for her if she decides to venture into metal minis. Fun hobby, hope she keeps it up!!
Loim
I don't have the mini, so I can't comment on the peg/no peg. Cool on your friend getting started though. Make sure they post pics on here.

Speaking as someone that once tried to pry apart some Bones parts that had been super glued.... I have to agree. The Auld Grump
etherial
Your first picture clearly shows nothing where the peg should have been. Your second picture clearly shows a poorly formed peg. Imma go with "miscast".

The Auld Grump You can usually boil them apart.
