If I had any critique it would be that the cool colors of the goat head stands out a bit from otherwise warm colors.  But you did an amazing job, well done!

Looking at it again, I think you're right. I should give it a reddish brown wash to tie it to the lion a bit more. Thanks!

Pragma;

That is magnificent.

I LOVE the richness of the colors, and the contrast between the two heads is

incredible.  All the detail is there, and that goat really foils the lions head...

Terrific job on the horns also.

Simply Splendid !

Thanks, everyone.

Egg, you should give it a go. I think my favorite bones so far are the mid sized monsters like this one. They aren't intimidating as the big dragons, and you don't lose any details at that scale.

Bonus pics! I realized I didn't have good closeup shots of the faces, so here they are:

Now you can see a little better how I tried to make the eyes match between the three different heads.

Yeah, I know.  But, I'm trying to stick to my existing "to do" list that I've queued up.  Then there's the commissioned work that keeps showing up . . .

The close-up pics you posted really do justice to the time and effort you invested in the piece.  The dragon head in particular is superb.

Thanks, I am quite proud of how the dragon turned out. I'm almost embarrassed to say how little time I spent on it. I might be ready to try a full sized dragon next!

Of course don't let me (or anyone) tell you what to paint. If you have a lot of commissions then probably you are doing something right -- or not charging enough ;). But if you find yourself with an empty slate, it was a fun one. I've just started a pathfinder campaign that will occupy a lot of my painting queue, and just took on my first commission for a friend. It's a good kind of busy :)

That's nice of you to say - what's wrong with yours? Does it just need a bath, or something worse?

Major warpage. I suspect it would need multiple boil/icing cycles to correct. For now he is part of my 3 year olds toy box...and he has painted it solid blue. Besides i have the large Mierce one to paint...once I get the courage and time.

I like how you tied the heads together with the common eyes.
