I gave this as gift to a Battletech buddy, Wally. He told me a story when we first started playing about how in the mid 90's he would play with a group and use his Classic Ral Partha Stalker and just mow people down from long range. He spoke about it often and always tells the story to new players.

I decided since he got me into Battletech and war gaming I would go all out for his birthday. In addition to this miniature I bought him a wet pallet, as he had never used one (i know how is that even possible), and a Battletech Mech Damage T-shirt I found on Amazon.

He was blow away. Here's to you old friend! Cheers!

I hope you guys like this one. I really like these Mech Warrior Online designs. They are modern and updated. They have the look i've always wanted in Battletech.

You'll notice if you look hard enough you can see destroyed mech markings on one side and the name big WALLY on the other. The number "16" is for the 2016. And I went with a blue cockpit glass because the shirt I bought him was blue.

I did a combination sand and flocking on the base. The sand is painted to look like rock. He (like my other mechs) is on an MDF hex base I purchased from Waresnal.

MWO really gave some of the classic mechs a fresh new look. Particularly in the chicken leg mech designs.

Though I haven't touched the game in over a year, I still love my Catapult.

Completely agree with you!

I think they made the Mechs look more robotic and thus made it look more like there was an actual person in them.

They made the Urbanmech plausible as a useful mech!

That's a feat worth recognition.

Nice mech.

The Urbie is my jam....

Thanks! Ya the new design of the Urban mech is so much better!

Great looking mech; love seeing the Stalker so well done. I'm loving MWO and my Pirates Bane Locust!

Loth

NICE! I bought 2 of them so I will be painting up another one soon. This one was gift so the color scheme is directed but the next one will be all mine!

One of the best Mechs I've seen!

I'm pretty sure it's not a MWO mech, the Catalyst people on their forum were pretty explicit that doing so would require licensing from Microsoft. which would be horribly expensive.

That looks like a Stalker II STK-9A from the TR3145FW (that's the Technical Readout 3145 Free Worlds League), its IWM part number is 20-5116.

And then I actually compared the pics above to the IWM pic and no it's not. So maybe it is, I don't actually play MWO.

But I would like to know where to get one.....or two.
