Would Reaper consider changing type of plastic for Bones miniatures?

I have not had problems with paint falling off Bones.  On the contrary paint stays on Bones much better than on metal miniatures.  I also prefer Bones to the brittle plastic on Games Workshop and similar plastic miniatures.  But I think there is a happy medium where you can have swords be rigid enough to not warp easily and yet be sturdier than Games Workshop type plastic.  For example, the miniatures I got recently in Zombicide Black Plague seem to be pretty close to that ideal happy medium, in my opinion.

I got my hands on the new off-white Bones for the first time yesterday at Free RPG Day.  I like the change, but I didn't get to try painting any.

I also noticed that the sample pack were the few from KSI who never made it to retail, in the grey material.  Nice to see them brought back to life!

Talking about a rerelease of miniatures that did not make it, is there a chance for Juliette and other discontinued miniatures to be rereleased in the grey material? I am aware of the casting problems, but I found especially Juliette excellent as a basis for conversions.

I thought I heard something about the discontinued Bones from KS1 (including Juliette) having been reworked and being re-released. I have not heard of a release date for them though.

All of the models from KS1 which were removed from distribution/never released due to quality issues were reworked, and all are planned to be released now that they are reengineered.

I do not yet have a release date but we wanted to be sure that the FRPGDay promotion these were not available so that we were not giving away an item which a retailer might have also had for sale.

I'm unsure how you can paint these models to a high standard without the fear of all the paint just falling away with it being so bendy? Thats a real question not just a rant :D

The paint bonds to the mini, and is difficult to remove. Folks have done durability tests on them, and assuming the minis have been properly washed and base coated, the durability is quite high. Certainly better than metal minis, which you can't throw in a bag and expect them to come out unharmed.

Will the new bones for Bones 3 be a little more ridged?  I have been painting a lot of Cool Mini or Not's stuff lately and liking it much better than my Bones 2 stuff.  Their fine detail holds up much better.  They have a kickstarter finishing tomorrow which is all D&D type stuff but I figured if Bones 3 are improved I will have no shortage of D&D stuff to paint.

Also are there any of the new greyer bones for sale other than in CAV?  I would like to order some and see what the smaller player characters look like in the new material.

I'm not sure that there's any way to tell in the store which models have been retocked with the new formula.  Here are a few that were out of stock around the same time.  I ordered Satheras after they were restocked and received one of the the new, grayer Bones.  It's pretty nice.  AFAIK, the Bones III models will try to use some variation of the new mix:

77040: Satheras, Male Warlock
77047: Goldar, Male Barbarian
77108: Shadow Dragon
77109: Fire Dragon
77328: Cinder

I got a Faceless Horror, among other things, recently, and it's made in a grayer Bonesium, so some minis are definitely restocked with the newer mix.

(How something with that many eyes can be called 'faceless' is a bit of a puzzle to me)

Reaper will of course not list which minis have been restocked as it can result in lower sale of non-restocked items, and yeah, a longer time until all the old stock is gone.
