Making Micro-Scale Buildings with Plaster

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

Lately I've been using throw-away plastic bits like blister packs and sauce cups as molds to make plaster buildings. It's a pretty cheap way to get a lot of buildings and once you start collecting things to use as molds you'll be amazed at what's out there.

Look, I already have a problem where I keep bits of styrofoam packing that "Could make a pretty cool bunker some day", which, of course, I never use.  I didn't need to watch this video.

Good ideas here for the smaller scales of terrain or even the slightly larger scale terrain to add details.

Glad I watched the vid.

papabees, they're decal paper run through an inkjet printer. I print them out of Illustrator so I can print 100% black, 100% cyan, and 60% magenta to make a richer black.

Neat! I did a large blister from a AA Battery Package yesterday. Figure it will make a cool power station or something. :D

Shoot! I just realized I had saved a lid that had nice indentations on it, but I think it got thrown away by those who clean! Rats.
