Yup!

I got the Actec, Greek and Egyptian one and a Plain one for flattening.

Superb stuff.

Make sure you use them when the putty/ greenstuff or clay you're using is already a bit hardened.

If you do it too soon you will roll the putty off the bases and on your pin..

If you're too late you won't make an impression.

Actually I even applied the Aztec roller to foam, pressing hard I was able to make an impression ( Tanith's Awakening Piece, I did this on the bottom part of the altar, upper part was milliput)

Using plasticine in the mix will take longer to dry, but is more cost effective in the end.

Clean the rollers directly afterwards, warm water/detergent I use a wooden toothpick ( NOT METAL) to scrape residue out of the motif.

To reduce stickyness & cleaning up, can I recommend a light dusting of talcum powder on the putty surface before rolling the imprint? ::):

For all of you who are following this, before I started this project I already had a story made up about a Vampire Queen who had to flee the Empire and ended up in a Jungle.

Since my account got accidently wiped that story was deleted.

After restoration I had to repost all my former work.

Maybe you like to see the first tryouts for this project.

Here is the regiment I painted then.

I think this regiment will now be part of the Undead forces that Tegwen and Cpt. Aguilera will lead at some point.

Most of the individuals also have their own Show Off. If you like you can find those in my Index ( see Sig.)

And a Zombie Horseman.

Those undead will be a good addition to the tale. The frog cavalry turned out nice and I like the freehand on the snake prates pants. All are very nice progress.

Thx Al, those were done a few years ago, it was my first idea which has led to the Lost world.

One day, when I have painted enough I will take pics of the armies.

Soon I will post some group shots of factions who have enough troops to look cool.

Thank you!

I'm working on the different armies more to come soon!

Expect more Egyptian Undead, Gothic Undead, Pirates, Conquistadores, Aztecs and Lizards!

Time for more hobby!

I have the Grenadier Undead Rhino Captive Carrier.

Need to resculpt a bit of his tail though..

The Crew will not be used, instead I will use a Bones 77144  Mummy and 89022: Alahazra, Iconic Oracle since she has a Egyptian feel about her.

They will be part of Nefrusobek's Army.

I recently finished playing Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire and felt the urge to paint something piratey.  There is a lot of room for improvement, and I regret my colour scheme (It is lacking a bit of contrast) but I still enjoyed painting this one, I even felt adventurous enough to attempt some weathering on the sword which didn't turn out as horrible as I anticipated.  Overall a good learning exercise.

      Miniature:  Captain Razig
      Maker: Reaper Minatures
      SKU: 02437

One of my favorite Fantasy races are the Undead, followed by Chaos and Reptilians.
I already have my Lost World Project which tells a tale of Conquistadores, Reptilians, Dinosaurs, Undead and a lot more.
However those Undead are the Egyptian Style and Pirate/Jungle style.

This thread will be filled with my beloved Gothic Undead, Demons, Monsters and all things that go bump in the night.
In my Lost World Project I tell an ongoing story, here I will post about all other dark things without coherency.
There might be snippets of loose stories to accompany a mini or not...

I hope you guys and gals and creatures will like it.

Let's kick off with the critters I painted a while ago to get a feel of what is coming.

      Enjoy! ( or not)

Bats and a Murder of Crows

EDIT: I will include some Bones and minis. The bulk will be metal and I want to give this an oldschool vibe.
Preferred minis will be, Reaper, Grenadier, Ral Partha, Rafm, Metal Magic, Otherworld and Early Citadel.
The Asian Undead will be from Zenith since I backed the Kensei Undead Samurai KS and will get their own thread.  ( Nippon, Land of the Rising Moon) and the Egyptian ones are in Shifting Sands Project)

EDIT - Asked to merge my Undead Threads into one.
Now Lords and Ladies of Death.

This is for all the Ghotic Undead and their friends like Werewolves/Witches/Demons etc etc..

      Eldessa Necromancer

      Ral Partha Female Vampire

      Lurien and Aysa

      Bat Demon

Have painted up this motley crew to add to the pirate skirmish collection I seem to be building.

The Dwarf is from the Pirates of the Dread Sea kickstarter, from a micro company in the UK.

The big orc is an ogryn from Privateer Press.

The chap with a musket has been painted as a half orc, he is a Reaper mini from the Warlord line.

Have finished off these skeleton pirates. They are all Reaper minis from the Razig faction in the Warlord line.

Really enjoyed painting these. I worked up from a cream paint spray and a sepia wash. Lots of brighter but desaturated colours for the cloth and lots of rust and brass tones for the metal. The bases are resin, from a company called MVP. I used a sepia wash again at the end of the process and then an all over drybrush with beige.

The plan is to pit these against the orc pirates I have been working on. I also have some Freebooter Fate minis and some dwarf and halfling pirates from elsewhere. Plus a load of Reaper pirates. Aaaargh.
