Paint sets - opposite of a discount?

Recommended Posts

Am I missing something or does Reaper charge about $7 for the case in the big paint sets? Not that I disagree with their right to. Just want to make sure if I place a paint order I don't order a set if I don't need to. Or that I don't miss out on something else (other than the case) by not ordering the set.

3.29 a bottle

x 54

________

$177.66

Big set price: $184.99

The $184.99 is in line with all of their other 54 paint sets.

However, if you want it cheaper, the original Master Series HD set #1 and #2 ($49.99, 19 paints each) combined with the individual new16 HD colors would bring it up to $152.62.

And the two foam carrying cases hold 36 bottles each.

A very good deal.

Finally finished an NPC mage that plays a recurring role in my campaign. Now that she’s done the party will probably never return to her castle .. fun to paint

Further efforts to produce a dozen dragons this year brought me out to the desert sands where even dragons new to worry about being spotted if they want a decent meal.  To this end desert dragons are campflaged to look like the ground from above and the sky from below.

Something a little different for a WIP. I’m building spinner racks for my paints and tools. There will be a 6” and 5” diameters that will hold 8 paints per level. The Tool  spinner will have a single level with 1/2” holes and hold 16  tools,  paints will get separate spinners for my Oilbrushers ( one level 3/4” hole, 8 brushes), dropper bottles will get three levels with 1” holes (8 paints per level) and the 6” spinner will be for the big bottles ( 1 3/8” inch holes, 8 per level) with three levels.

Hopefully this will help my chaotic workspace stay a bit more organized.

this is the 6” spinner with the holes drilled, except the center, and ready for the bandsaw.

Here is my take on the Dance of Death sculpt from the Bones 4 Kickstarter.

I really enjoyed this one,  finishing it up this last winter. I saw someone mention somewhere online that they were bummed that the heads didn't exactly line up, but I found it reminiscent of dogs when they are snarling while looking sidelong at each other.

Apologies for the scratches and discolorations on the background. I've been meaning to pick up some black cloth to improve that.

      Thanks for taking a look!
