um, ok just my two cents -

for backgrounds either the dark charcoal one or the purple. The purple complements your green more tho.

For pictures, for some reason unless it's just my eyes which it totally could be, all the close up ones seem a little out of focus?

Anyway looking good otherwise!

The close up pics are just cropped versions of the other pics...

Dark Gray > Purple. I'm conflicted. The purple causes your paint choices to pop, but it's also on the brighter side. That yellow...ow, my eyes.

Thanks folks!

I got a bunch of backgrounds for other stuff as well, don't know if some of them will ever be used, but I wanted to see what they looked like. ..

my vote is for the dark grey followed by the purple.     I like the orange but not with this mini.  (I like orange .... okay.. especially 10 mile orange...  yes I might have a problem  )

Good question. It seems to pop out best with the blue background, but it doesn`t seem right thematically. After that I would say purple, then charcoal. Though they`re very close together.

Good job keeping the same shot for all of them, by the way.

These look lighter than the sample background pictures. (Don't hate me!) Also, on a couple of the pictures, #19 for example, there is a weird white smjudgey mark on the background that draws the eye away from the figure.

So at Reapercon 2018, I scored the Duskwarden poster of Thregan Helmsplitter for my work at the auction, and of course, being the Duskwarden*, I have a couple of the minis as well.

So I was thinking of using him as my next PC, but as I have hair, I wanted my mini to also...
While working on another project with GS, as usual, I made to much, and decided to bite the bullet and do his hair...
      What do you think?

      Comments appreciated!

They're not pretty but they get the point across. It was my first attempt at really pushing myself for speed. I cranked these out in about 4 paint sessions over 2 weeks with a goal of "not terrible table top". My DnD friends are in for a little surprise (many little green surprises)....

More shameful and detailed photos can be found on my blog.

      Cheers,

Not exactly a speed paint, but still completed within only a couple of evenings. I like the way he turned out without all that much effort. I guess I got kinda lucky on this one.

So I have started prepping this baby for painting:

And I am disappointed with the quality,  the mold lines are sooo bad,  and the vents are right in the middle of details, and some places the vents were cut in such a way that adjacent details were lost.

Just a few of the many pieces, black knife for scale.

Nasty mold line, with my first pass at it

Vents in detail, there were worse ones that I already mostly fixed on another piece:

For as much as this thing cost, even at Kickstarter pricing, I guess I expected better.
