Again, an entry for a painting league at another forum.
Susie and the Snow Goons! RUN!
In homage and reference to the seminal comic strip Calvin and Hobbes. Here we have Calvin's instantly recognizable wierd snowmen, and Susie, his neighbor/friend/schoolmate and part-time nemesis in addition to Calvin and Hobbes themselves.
Search for Calvin & Hobbes. You will not regret it.

We're walking in the air (...)
Suddenly swooping low
On an ocean deep
Rousing up a mighty monster from his sleep
And walking in the air
We're dancing in the midnight sky ...
(from The Snowman, 1982)
I used Warlord Games WGS-STG-10 Melting Snow for the snow on the bases.

Short Wart's Cohort Mort
Being a band of bony retribution soon to cross the Brandywine and come a-knocking on little round doors under the hills.
Most of these skeleton minis are from the same second hand purchase where I got the zombies that were featured a few week ago. I got the incomplete undead mammoth off Ebay several years ago, and Short Wart himself is an Oathsworn Halfling Necromancer. All minis have been given 3D printed bases, most of them 25mm.
There are a lot of pics beneath, although some are distictly unfocussed, as if a dark power did not wish to be documented...

Bravo 66 to all elements this net,
The Drow returns!
So after a long hiatus, and battle with personal problems, I have picked up my brushes, Sable and Air, again...
Starting off with something rather simple, an armored task force for the Game Team Yankee, a WW III TABLETOP game(in 15mm scale), that if the war scenario in the game, and book by the same title, the members fighting in that fictional war would have included yours truly, as I was an M1 Abrams tank crewman in Germany on August 4, 1985...
So the first group is of afore mentioned M1s, after assembly and priming, they were base coated with Tamiya XF-67 NATO Green, using my Grex Genesis airbrush.
Next was to add the Black part of the NATO 3 color camouflage. This was done with my Iwata HP-SB Plus.
The tracks and road wheel rims were then done with Vallejo German Black, and the end connectors on the tracks with a mix of GW Boltgun metal, and Secret Weapon Brown and Orange rusts. This was done with a Ro&Co size 2 brush.
(thanks to all those that turned me on to Ro&Co!)
Sorry for the blurry turret pics, but the gun threw things off, and I haven't done this for over a year...
Not much but it is a new start...
I did a complete force for a friend in 2016, the WIP can be found here
Thanks for looking!

Yet another of my entries in a painting league on another forum
Pride and Joy
A nice walk in the park for the Lovecrafts.
Sorry about the pics being a bit blurry, I am still struggling with the camera. It seems it is not meant for such small items.
Most of the miniatures are from a recent 2019 kickstarter by Bear's Head Miniatures, apart from the large Star Spawn that is from the game Cthulhu Wars by Petersen Games. One of the kickstarters for that game had an option for one each of the miniatures extra, and this one is from that set. I hacked off the moulded base it originally came with so I could have similar style bases for the whole family.
Lots of pics and such below, go on, you know you want to click it:

Paintedfor a painting league in another forum:
"Bring Out Your Dead!"
I envision this as a wandering band who collects the dead. Sometimes they need to make ther cargo dead first. Being death warmed over themselves, they do not know what else to do with their unlives.
lots more pictures beneath the click:
