Mountain Trolls (77333) - An ub3r WIP

Trying out Froggy's ink+sealer method on these. Not worrying about mold lines. Basing on Secret Weapon skulls bases. Going to use at the game table.

I attached them to their bases last night, will be doing a very quick tabletop job on them as I experiment with the inks a bit more and there'll be plenty of dry-brushing also involved. I want to eventually toss them up against my D&D group. Can never have enough giants/trolls!

Oh he's the MASTER and I'm just a lowly apprentice at this stuff.

 

I'll work on them a tad more tonight, I actually also added some red ink + realistic water to the base last night too, making it look like they are walking through bloody ground.

Yup!

I managed (by accident) to get a bit of Froggy's sepia-toned vibe by putting a thin layer of paint over a wash of brown liner.  Definitely a style that has a lot of up-side for cranking out table-ready bad guys!  I'll have to try and keep an eye on how this works out for you.

Here's where the trolls are at right now with them on their bases.

 

I'll be doing some drybrushing on the skulls and add more darker red and water effects to the lower areas.
