CAV II KICKSTARTER UPDATE 7 JULY 2017

 

Greetings all!

This is the OFFICIAL announcement that as of July 31st, 2017 the CAV II Kickstarter Pledge Manager will be closing so we can get final numbers and start planning for final fulfillment.

This means you need to finalize your selections for the amount you pledged and/or add any final models you may want and lock in your pledge.

If you do not lock in your pledge by this date you may miss the initial shipping of product. Don't be the guy or gal who says they never realized this step was required or didn't see this update.

If you need any help or have questions email [email protected] and make sure to include your name, your email address used on your Kickstarter and/or pledge manager accounts, backer number, and a phone number just in case. We will get back with you as soon as possible.

For final fulfillment we will process and ship everyone's order in the same batch so I doubt you will see any noticeable delay.

Happy Groundhog Day! While it looks like winter is not quite over yet, it's certainly "heating" up here at CAV HQ!

We have received our shipping notice from our manufacturer at last! Next week they will be delivering to the port in Hong Kong for shipment through Los Angles to our receiving area in Dallas.

Our container will be traveling aboard the APL SENTOSA (you can track the ship at: https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/APL-SENTOSA-IMO-9632040-MMSI-563251000 ) and is expected to be loaded and leaving port on 14-FEB with an estimated delivery date in Dallas of 08-MAR. This is of course dependent on weather, customs, etc.

Provided these dates stay on target, we should be ready to start fulfillment in the later half of March. I had hoped they would get it to us by end of Feb so we could fulfill before we start hitting convention season but at least we are getting to the end.

We will be attending the GAMA Retail show March 12-16 in Reno, NV and AdeptiCon March 22-25 in Chicago, IL and will have production copies of all the figures for display so if you are at either show, make sure to stop by and say hi!

So there you have it. I hope you are as excited as I am to finally be getting these figures in hand very soon!

Guessing that after the Kickstarters ship, we will see them trickle to retail over time?  Will there be packs of minis at retail as well?

Good to hear that its on its way soon, now which army to start after I finish the UTF?? Possibly do the small Rach force I have from the 1st KS or start the Ritterlich in preparation for the reinforcements coming 

 

Now how many more Cav's are there left to Boneify? Any news on a possible KS III once shipping has started?

Templar and Malvernis have the least bones I believe, then several holes elsewhere.  Lots of gunships and vehicles.  Definitely enough left for another kickstarter if the interest is there.  Would love to see the Adon crawlers return, for example a Recluse model is impossible to find and it's the only Adon ECM unit.

Thanks Jeneki just downloaded the full list and I can see what you mean, my gaming buddy (well arch nemesis) has some of those crawlers I can remember put a few of them together a while a go for him  he's not painted any yet of course....

 

Lets hope theres another KS if CavBoss can stand the stress  hopefully the Convention season might help get a gauge to whether it will be welcomed or not but tanks and aircraft can easily be picked up by other gamers to be used in other sci-fi games my aircraft will make an appearance as 6mm dropships or heavy bombers for my games.

As soon as we have fulfillment done we will send them out to retail. Be ready to grab them as we have a lot of retail orders on hold waiting on just these!

 

We are working on a third KS centered around Malvernis and the Templars. I would expect it around August 2018. We are putting together some extra goodies for this one plus we are already sending models over so they will already be prepped ready to go as soon as we close the KS. If we get it going good, we will work on some of the other factions that have models missing.

 

Alas the crawlers wont be coming in plastic but we are working on some new model types for all the factions to fill in gaps and will have an announcement for those in April.

 

Also we will be doing variants on existing models that should help as well. The Adon Javelin will be getting an ECM variant very soon.

I wouldn't mind a couple of minis from other factions mixed in, if it plugs holes in the role-roster. I'm not sure I'll get as many as last time, but I'll get the basic and what looks cool.

Great news time to start saving the pocket money up for the next one  that also means the 2nd kidney will still safe for a while then
