I don't usually chime in with recommendation on such an otherwise excellent paintjob, but I would say that shield is standing out a bit as "too clean."

Not that a man isn't allowed to keep his shield polished. It just seems a tad flat, somehow.

The frame around the headlamp seems to suffer a bit from this, too. Just seems too clean.

Also, some marking on the helmet might help. At first, I thought it was unpainted, due to the gray scheme.

Looks really really good! only suggestion I might add is I feel the bird could use a little more 'pop' maybe? could just be the photo as well though! I might be tempted, if I were doing it of course, to do a bit of highlight on some of the wings, or make the wing tips a different colour even.

My favorite detail though is the way you have his purity seals flowing away from the direction of travel, looks very realistic and a great little touch!

I hadn't thought about it until you mentioned it, but his helmet is looking a little plain, I think I may go back and do the little crest bit in either bronze or yellow.

The shield has quite a lot of depth 'in hand' so I think that it's just the angle plus the satin finish making it look extra shiny, but I do agree with you on the headlamp, I'm not very good at painting gold, so it was pretty much guaranteed to look terrible.

I tried doing some edge highlighting on the more prominent feathers on the birds, but my hands just weren't up to it, so I left it alone instead of making a mess ::):

Sadly the seals were part of the sculpt, so I can't take the credit for that bit!

I haven't seen any of the figures from that set up close, this guy is a very cool model, and I think you've done a fantastic job of painting him!

Presenting my Beastman Champion and true child of Atmos (In my own fantasy setting I base some of my Games Workshop stuff in, Beastman are a race of former humans who were changed by worshipping an ancient, goat-headed god called Atmos. Occasionally, an actual goat-headed Beastman will be born amongst them and will be considered Atmos's offspring, they then get all the best food and stuff and grow up to be one of the leaders or shamans of the various tribes.) Who is from the Warhammer: Underworlds range by Games Workshop.

I'm super pleased with how this guy turned out, but I really need to buckle down and actually finish one of these Underworlds sets.

Hello everyone, here are pictures of 02909, Nienna the elf ranger sculpted by Werner Klocke. I use that model in our still postponed D&D sessions. She's an half-elf named Vadariah. She had to flee her native village with her mother when it was attacked by Orcs. During their adventures, she became a very versatile young woman. She began her journey as a ranger and later became interested in stealthiness and sorcery. So, she's now a multi-class character; 3rd level ranger, 3rd level lightbringer rogue and 2nd level sorceress. Her familiar is a hawk, flying somewhere in the blue. I hope you'll enjoy.

Presenting The Bride of Nurgle, the leader of the Nurgle warband in the game Warhammer:- Underworlds by Games Workshop.

I don't usually post my Underworlds stuff here, but I felt this one deserved it.
Annoyingly, I did a really good job painting her face but you can't see most of it once her fringe is attached.
