League Update (listing by team as I don't always know who's who based on real name vs. forum name):

So, questions for the league: 

 

Anybody know the status of Brian Cate?

 

We're down one right now and I know that there were some interested in downsizing if at least one of the others drops, where do we want to set the new cap 10, 8, ??

 

Keepers or no keepers (how many?)? Dynasty or no dynasty (keep who you want)? etc.

Draft order?

 

Live draft or Auto draft?

I don't know the status of any of those guys. I would prefer to cap the league at 10 anyway.

 

If we do keepers we should just keep going with what we were doing, 8 points to work with, 1 point per season that a player has been with your team so this year everyone would cost one point to keep. Not sure about accumulating unused points or not.

 

I still prefer a live draft

Definitely live. 8 keepers like we have done. I have no idea why Brian hasn't responded. My cell service right now is out/on hold & the only way communicate with him is via text.

 

He had a chance to respond just like the rest of us so I say we go with with active teams. The out teams give those teams 1 year to stay active. (Ie if we expand again give those teams first crack at coming back).

To be honest, so long as it's manageable within the ESPN system I don't really care what we do whether it's dynasty, keepers or redraft. I'd rather not have to fanny about with other mechanics to figure stuff out - let's let the system do that for us. Less mistakes and easier to find.

 

To be honest I'd be happy with total redraft, live or automated

My feeling on keepers is to go to a set number. We could set a limit on how long you keep someone to avoid that lock down. My old league used to have a 3 year rule on a player. If you kept him for three years in a row, you had to drop him. It avoids the draft nightmare that we've been dealing with because you set your keepers before the draft.

That works for me, but what would the set limit be then? Is 8 to many under that limit?
