I'd be happy to support them, but I just don't like the look of that goblin

It looks too chunky and smooth somehow, and I've seen the masks done better by other sculptors, If it's an early WIP I could become interested and if they offer some resin with a bit more personality it would help

Not sure. They look a bit too ridiculous with that helmet. I'd also like them to deliver Shieldmaidens first ...

Aesthetics-wise we try doing our best, we are certain that we'll still not please everyone so your opinion is much respected  :blush:

The Shieldmaidens deadline is still 5 few months away and updates have been regular and with substance we believe ::): In order to honor the trust previous backers have placed in us in the previous project, we are not launching the Goblin project next week, as it would be possible to do.

We instead chose to wait an entire additional month, in order to mail more than 150 Mammoths (all 3 versions) first. On top of that, we are covering all P&P expenses ourselves to facilitate easier flow of the process  ^_^

And to put the cherry on top of this, regardless how the Goblin project goes, we have publicly promised that we will not be launching the Shieldmaiden follow through project with the Warmaidens/Dragonbred/Krumvaal should we first not finish delivering to every backer from the Shieldmaiden campaign first!  :B):

Not all goblins will have these masks, but that's also not an early WiP sculpt I'm afraid, that's exactly what we want to put in production. We are being 100% transparent on what we want the funds for.  ^_^

Plastic tooling does have restrictions compared to resin, but it we are still aiming at offering an awesome deal to the potential backers of this project.  :poke:

Appreciate the interest and comments regardless, it shows our work interests people and bother to write their thoughts about it!  ::D:

While I don't really like the way thar mask looks, but I know people who'll love it. They'll tell me it looks 'over the top silly' the way they want goblins.

I'm going to say enough masked and un-masked heads to make units be all masks or no masks would be a good idea for a real early stretch goal.

Looking forward to these goblins.  They are definitely nothing like the ones I have, and if they were I wouldn't be interested(I have enough goblins).  Granted I will be using them in D&D and probably not for war/skirmish games as intended.  That makes me think though, make sure to include at least two spell casters and a ranged option and these would make for a very unique Frostgrave group.  Might make one with the orcs I have coming too.  If I do I will probably make one with the shield maidens as well.

From what I have seen it needs two casters (wizard and apprentice) and versatility (ie: single weapons, two handed, sword and shield, dual wield, ranged).  They do have some more unique options now such as apothecary, bard, tracker(with hound), etc., but I was thinking mostly a basic party.  Also as a reference I am pretty sure I can make a group with the Shield maidens from your last KS using the spell caster heroes and a box of shield maidens.

I actually love the masks and hope for many goofy hats. Though I have to ask, do you have any less buff goblins lined up? I generally prefer lankier little guys.

(Ah sorry, missed that!)

Eh, we have developed our own game and we are working on cross-over ranges creating some in support of T9A.

Here's the thing;

  • in T9A game the Goblins are silly looking guys and wimps, who allied with (and count on) the Orcs to do the main fighting for them. They are regardless fairly good in numbers and have various warmachinery and light cavalry options to supply the army with. Due to their small worth, they are equipped with low quality weapons and even their constructions are of low standards, yet they are still deadly when dealing with.

  • in War is Coming (our game), the Goblins are fierce fighters who must also rely on their vast numbers however to counter the disadvantage of their smaller body-builds. They trend on the edge of psychosis bloodlust and have an ancient history of hatred against the Orcs with whom they -obviously- never merge.

    They are among the best -if not the best- engineers of our world and have created deadly and unique warmachines.

So, slim/lanky is not an option I am afraid. this is a middle-way solution to make sure both parties are satisfied. After all, we are all putting money into this, so the main target is to satisfy everyone  ::D:

So. Goblins... I really don't have a need for more goblins. but will try to show some support. Especially if there are resin beasts and resin mounts...

I have:

Reaper pathfinder bones goblins

GW goblins

Mantic goblins

Massive darkness Goblins coming

Reaper bones 3 goblins coming

No forest goblins though, I guess. If they had gone with the army they described as martial belly dancers... I would have backed big... :down:

as fare as them doing another kickstarter before the last fulfills, that's a deal breaker for some, but I would like to fund more shield maidens and any support for their projects will increase visibility and support for their range and thus make stuff happen faster.

The goblins do look goofy, but that is how I see most goblins anyway.

@Smokestack

All feedback is always appreciated. We honestly think we have never allowed any doubt that any of our funded projects would not fulfill, we are putting our reputation on the line and that's not something we want to mess with. We put a lot of stock in reputation, for we are in this for the long run  ^_^

As for resin cavalry, I'm afraid that's been planned to be done in HIPS. Resin beasts however... oh yes!  :;):
