Base Boss by Reaper

Any news about this Kickstarter? When will it ship? Do we have to wait until Bone 3 mistakes are fixed? Would be nice to hear something from Reaper.

Sweet! It might be a good idea to post something in the kickstarter. We haven't had an update there in a month or a comment from Reaper in the comment section in 5 months.

Yes, a KS update would be good when we get back to the office after Origins.

We will set release dates after we complete fulfillment.

What happened to my last post?  Is it with the update?

From Kickstarter since we like Kickstarter quotes.

If problems come up, creators are expected to post a project update explaining the situation. Sharing the story, speed bumps and all, is crucial. Most backers support projects because they want to see something happen and they'd like to be a part of it. Creators who are honest and transparent will usually find backers to be understanding.

Does anyone know if the bases offered in this Kickstarter are the same as the plastic RPG bases Reaper sells in thier online store?

Thanks!

Some of them are the same, but the Kickstarter has more new sizes.

Although none of the new ones are from the RPG line, AFAIK.  I'm pretty sure that the new bases are beveled similar to those from Games Workshop and other manufacturers.

There are RPG bases in the Kickstarter.  You should be able to compare part numbers from the store with the numbers from the image on the KS page.

Quick question.

For the Base Boss Add-Ons, how many pieces were included in the 74068, 74069, and 74070 line item? Each was $4, as shown on my Completed Orders page, but I don't recall how many of that sku were included in the $4 add-on and the campaign page doesn't say.

I'm guessing everything didn't go as planned.  Does next week look likely for shipping?

you know Reaper, I love you guys as a company, and I like those of you I've met here and at ReaperCon as individuals - but I'm really disappointed with your handling of the Base Boss KS, particularly the communications side of it.  I know that you guys will come through and that I'll get my bases eventually, if not soon.

But that's not really my disappointment or frustration here - the fact is, I really only backed this KS to support you guys - the bases I ordered don't really matter to me. But I'm left with all sorts of conflicting thoughts about what your handling of this KS says about that support - many of them negative, most of them just puzzled.

I really hope that whatever is going on there at Reaper HQ gets sorted out in a positive way for all of you and by extension, all of us.

      The Drowned Earth...
...is a tabletop miniatures game where brave heroes and villains risk the dangers of the wilds for glorious riches and ancient technology!
Played on a 3ftx3ft table.  5 (or more) models a side.  Scenario based play. Beautifully cast, multi-part metal miniatures.  The game is set in the land of Ulaya, a tropical world of flooded cities, overgrown ruins and terrifying predators.

      About the Development Process
When I decided to create The Drowned Earth I had Four simple design briefs. I wanted the game to have:
A Parkour/ Freerunning movement system. Rules which told a narrative through a dramatic reaction mechanic. A streamlined, elegant system which was quick to learn and easy to remember. An unambiguous rules set suitable for competitive play.  Two years of development later, and I think I've ticked those boxes, and many more! The Drowned Earth is the kind of game you can tell stories about, without once talking about the mechanics or the dice you rolled.

Models leap off buildings, guns blazing, dodge bullets as they run through open ground, and swing from vines to take key objectives. It truly is a cinematic, narrative game full of knife edge choices and story moments!

      About the Miniatures
I've watched and backed a lot of Kickstarters, and passionately want to avoid the pitfalls many of them experience with late delivery, quality issues and production bottle necks. As a first time producer I have done as much research as possible to mitigate risk.

To that end I have established full production pipeline and have actually gone through a complete production cycle with an outstanding metal caster, to deliver to you the best metal miniatures I can. Pictures speak a thousand words.

      About this project
The Machu Picchu Vol.2 are... the best kind of weird :D.
      They are:
the world's first 4 elements dice :3 a blend between 3 kinds of awesome craftsmanship, a symbol for a truly fascinating corner of the world.                  This way, something as simple as a dice design becomes an opportunity to create something incredibly unique. We feel confident to say there's really nothing quite like them.
Choose between ANY of our AWESOME designs and wood types :o
      KLAZIK
They might remind you of the classic dice design, yet they are not. We take on the classic forms and transform them into something bold and new.
      APU
'Apu' is quechua for 'mountain-god'. We wanted something simple, that would take inspiration of elements and forms found in the Inca culture and its landscape, and give back something different and beautiful.
      CALENDAR
For these, we use gorgeous iconography from the annual calendar of the Incas, as well as the chakana (Inca’s symbol for the Tree of Life). A masterpiece.
      PACHA
Inspired by 'Pachamama', the inca goddess known as the mother of earth and time, this beautiful design embraces and evolves upon traditional iconography from the Andes.

Last campaign was amazing. We are immensely grateful to everyone who: first believed in us, then gave us such heart whelming comments and feedback, and finally... encouraged us to come back :) We owed it to them to do it right!
DOPE feedback from our 1st campaign! :) So... we tested, tested and then tested some more. We tried many new materials and toolings. We've been hopeful and discouraged... excited and depressed... jumping around and flat on the floor.. Until (finally!)...

      About this project
I've been making miniatures for about three years now, during that time I've made sculpts for various miniature companies as a freelancer sculptor. Now I've decide do to take the plunge and produce some of my own miniatures. That aspiration led me to Kickstarter.

I've been busy sculpting the range of undead miniatures presented here over the last few months. They're predominantly 28mm sculpts, the Undead Heroes are larger at 32mm scale, to fit their powerful status. I consciously made them an eclectic bunch, including animals. My vision of the undead force is a terrifying mix of all forms of life, bent to the will of their masters.

During the course of this campaign, I'll continue to sculpt miniatures to add to the range. I have a Facebook Group - March of the Dead, where I'm working on suggestions offered by the groups members. The more popular ones will be joining the miniatures here.

The objectives of this project are to firstly see the miniatures produced in white metal by Macrocosm Miniatures and in your possession In a timely manner.

If things go really well, then hopefully I can also get a shiny website made, so I can continue producing miniatures and offer them online.

Anyway. I think that covers the background. Time to show you the miniatures on offer.....

To select multiple rewards, pick one of your choices, then amend the total to include the grand total. I'll then collect the details of your order with the Pledge Manager.
