I'm not the target market here because i only go buy bases if I need them and I'm pretty stocked up on them at the moment.. I'll definitely promote the heck out of it though

Yeah. I suspect this is more appealing to people who are expecting delivery of hundreds or thousands of dollars worth of KS figures this fall.

or who play games involving large armies, or who have very extensive shelves of unpainted models...

or who just never want to put off working on a mini because they are out of bases...

Or all of the above. All at once.

Or order bases by the garbage bag.

For me, 25mm, 50mm and 75mm would be most useful, as they fill 1 inch, 2x2" and 3x3" spaces on grids for D&D. So really one inch (or 25mm) increments. Clear is nice so that PC and non-terrain specific monsters can be used on any terrain without looking out if place.

This.

Square and round in these dimensions.

When dealing with figures for 1"/25mm grids, I prefer a slightly smaller base (20mm/40mm/65-ish mm), so that I can see the terrain underneath the base a bit better.

And now, thinking about it, I'd really like the "Large" and "Huge" base sizes to be more square, with rounded corners, because circles can be a bit of a pain on a grid.

I may not be excited by the idea of yet more featureless black plastic bases, but transparent bases would be very nice. I also prefer the lettering to not be quite as visible--either hidden somewhere or not present at all.

I was initially thinking that I'd want the round lipped bases from the previous kickstarters in transparent plastic--and I still do--but it would be even more useful for me with slotted bases.

The more I think about it...

If we got 50mm and 75mm square bases in clear with no slot and no words, I would probably (sacrilege I know...) pull my large/huge bones critters from their current mediocre quality basing jobs and stick them to the clear ones.

As much as I like basing, and it's totally needed for display pieces, but it always seems weird in an RPG game to have a devil appear with his own personal 1, 2, or 3 inch (depending on his size) hellscape from his base. The clear bases will make him blend into the map/terrain being used.

I was really for 25x50mm rounded rectangles when I saw this (similar to the 25x75 bike bases).  I really like cavalry, and cavalry bases just seem wrong to me (I prefer round bases), and ovals just don't do it for me, but c'est la vie.  Outside of this, I am going to die this month from Kickstarter.  I'm in even if just for the extra selections.  The big bases really got me.  If there were 120mm ones.... ouch more.

I'm in this same boat.  I want them for 1" squares.  So increments of 25mm works well.  Black is all I really need.  But if I were to get any sort of colors, it would be clear.

Also, when they get LARGER (like 75mm and up) I would prefer a square base with the corners rounded off.  When you use large circles on a square grid sometimes it gets less obvious as to what squares it takes up in the corners.  Probably too late for a base of this style in this KS though of course.  But for future reference.  Might even like rounded corner squares for all the sizes actually.

32mm in clear or color will make thousands of space marine players happy!

Why would that be the case? Would it also apply to Tau, Eldar, and all the other factions ?

Has this to do with rebasing to the bigger size GWSpace Marines now ship with?

Please explain more.
