Is that video available anywhere else?

My out in the boonies internet is taking forever to load it.

I started trying to watch it at 1241, it's currently 1250 and it's only gotten to the 23 second mark.

 

EDIT: Got to watch it all the way through at 1257. that's 16 minutes for a 38 second video.

But it would have been about eleventy billion times more entertaining if the wait had only been a minute or two.

Had the same bandwidth issues with the video — audio was only heard in digitally glypped snippets, just a bunch of vrrrip, zlorrp, zhherrrnp, noises — imagery displayed as a series of freeze frames.

OK, I have to admit. I don't get this. 

 

I saw the video yesterday, and visited the pledge manager.  I see some new bases on there, but the bulk of what I saw was either already available at the Reaper online store or is a fairly vanilla base. Or both. And some of the bases are already available in bulk in the Reaper Store -  I recently bought 1k of the 74035 RPG bases for $26.99 (love those bases, and the deal was too good to pass up). 

 

So other than the funding of the oval bases, I don't really see what's coming out of this.  Yeah, I'll probably back, especially if I can get a bulk deal on the transparent hex hover base, but I still don't really get the purpose of this KS.

We shall wait and see what all is offered besides the stuff we see in video and on PM.  What would make me very interested is if there were some other basing type of materials as add-ons.  Something to use with the bases would grab my attention more than just another pile of bases I have a lot of already.

You are correct that we have several sizes of raises already available which we are adding to the PM.

 

These bases are not part of the KS rewards, just Extras we're adding to the PM.

I hope the KS project has a lot better close up pictures of the bases - because it's really hard to tell how those round bases differ from what is already offered by Reaper.  

 

ETA: BTW, not criticizing the KS as a whole, just bringing up what I see as some weak points in the presentation of the idea so far. 

 

I want to see every Reaper KS be super successful, even if it doesn't personally appeal to me.

I just thought it was a big, amazing joke foremost, with, "oh yeah but actually you can buy some bases if you want."

I don't think Reapers run many KIckstarters so give them a break /should be purple on my phone
