I hope the KS project has a lot better close up pictures of the bases - because it's really hard to tell how those round bases differ from what is already offered by Reaper.  

 

ETA: BTW, not criticizing the KS as a whole, just bringing up what I see as some weak points in the presentation of the idea so far. 

 

I want to see every Reaper KS be super successful, even if it doesn't personally appeal to me. 

I've got the first round of new photos up now. 

 

Another iteration of these photos is planned, with a photoshop text overlay providing the dimensions and part number snd highlighting lips, rims, and slots more effectively.

That sku is already in the store at x20 for $4.99 and bulk pricing at quite a bit cheaper per unit. It seems like the price listed in the KS could be a typo.

74023, 74030, and 74031 have much thicker lipped edges than what appears on pictures for the new core round and oval bases, but they're all called "lipped".  It took me a while to figure out that the first three have "display" tacked on the end of their names.  I don't know, it's confusing, but maybe I'm just tired.  I would go with "thin lipped" or something to help distinguish them, personally.

 

I have a hard time resisting bases.

My out in the boonies internet is taking forever to load it.

I started trying to watch it at 1241, it's currently 1250 and it's only gotten to the 23 second mark.

 

EDIT: Got to watch it all the way through at 1257. that's 16 minutes for a 38 second video.

But completely worth the wait!

Had the same bandwidth issues with the video — audio was only heard in digitally glypped snippets, just a bunch of vrrrip, zlorrp, zhherrrnp, noises — imagery displayed as a series of freeze frames.

After that ^ happened, I tried some Pink Floyd on YouTube to see if it was any video, from anywhere. No problems with other videos.

I tried the Reaper video again today. (...ten minutes ago.) It played with no problems. Whatever the problem was, it has dissappeared.

 

I am looking for larger bases that smaller bases can fit into with out raising up the mini.

 

Such as

 

1/2" base can fit into a 3/4" base

3/4" base can fit into a 1" base

1" base can fit into a 2" base

2" base can fit into a 3" base

3" base can fit into a 4" base

Are you trying to drop existing squares into rounds? Or squares into larger squares?

Not a huge deal, but it's a shame that out of all the new bases, there's no love for the RPG-style bases (flat, not angled side) that we had in the Bones kickstarters.
