Popular Post odinsgrandson
This was my entry for the P3 Grandmasters this year. I didn't want to push myself as hard to improve my painting this year- mostly because I was dealing with the sleep deprivation that comes with having a newborn. I did, however, want to push myself in terms of basing, and I think that I succeeded there. I went with a very battle damaged look. I think that if I were to do it again, I'd go for a bit cleaner look- still add some damage, but not nearly so much. As is, there's hardly an area on him that isn't covered with some sort of nicks and scratches. I've posted him to CMON for anyone who cares to vote.

malefactus
I have come to associate you with W-word Cake Toppers & Oh-So-Cute Chibi Folk. The Big, Gritty Guy is quite a WONDERFUL departure. The miniature & his base are BEAUTIFULLY painted in a SPLENDID array of colors. VERY WELL DONE as always!

odinsgrandson
awesome as always! you make me think we need two show off forums one for you professionals and one for us amateurs. Well, I did this guy in my hobby time. I'd rather keep segregation to a minimum. I know plenty of "Amatures" who are ace painters (David Diamonstone comes to mind right away- he's beaten me in more contests than I've beaten him).

Dai-Mongar
I like the battle damage, for what it's worth. From the few minis where I've used it, I know how easy it is to get carried away, but I think it works just fine to keep the large, flat areas interesting without being distracting. CorallineAlgae
I have no idea how most of this was painted. Stared and stared at the pictures and still don't know how you did it. Mind literally blown. All of the tiny delicate highlights and that bright green make this figure so luminous, despite his armor being beat to hell. In some of the pictures it almost looks like there's a little hint of green in his chain mail, reflecting off of the plates.
