Latest update says the have gotten a FAR greater demand for this KS then they ever thought they would get.  So they are giving us a heads up that as more funding comes in there will be delays in fulfillment because the added production time (and other logistics I am sure) they are going to need to do.

While I am sure no one is ever happy with delays, I am glad they are telling us this now and even giving an estimate of how much the delay will be based on how much more funding the KS gets.  The right way to do communication!

Just an update that they have cut off the pledge levels with a Jan 2017 delivery date.  The new ones (same products, same price) have a July 2017 delivery date.

This was done to keep on schedule for those who did back it earlier and yet still continue to take pledges for those still getting onboard.  Kinda like the waves in the Reaper Bones KS projects.  They never remotely expected the KS to be this successful.  Sounds like it is already 2x more than their highest guess!

They are also hinting heavily that there will be add ons available after the KS in the pledge manager.

I've been looking at these for a while on FB (they've been teasing it for months). Just not sure.

I have the pk pro ceramic holders with the wire, I love the concept and there are definitely times I want something over the top of the mini to brace against. But I've yet to use it for a single mini for a variety of reasons, the primary of which is that they're awkward to hold. The longer holders on offer seem similarly awkward, in that they're too long.

I'm thinking about making my own hybrid by epoxying the wire holder onto a polly s paint pot (my favorite handle), which is about the same size as my other favorite, a champagne cork.

I like the look of the grip (no interest in the holder; too small). But other than being aesthetically pleasing, I don't see much advantage over using scrap 1x2, which is my standard method.

Their prices are probably fair for what you get, because they are pretty, but I'm not in on this one.

Still, I might go to a thrift store looking for a convenient size of candlestick.  ^_^

I'm hoping it helps with sore knuckles. My candlestick works ok, will see how this compares. I'm only in for one, and it looks pretty lol.

Smaller ones just don't work for me. I don't know how people deal with small corks. my hand starts to hurt.

It may also be typing at work all day then griping something....

Epoxy the wire? Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the wire?  It would be great for one angle, but if it doesn't move around with you then it would make it awkward to hold from some angles or just be flat in the way on others.

The holder. Epoxy the base onto a longer handle, but not as long as the long handle. I'm Goldilocks.

Really, my favorite is still a champagne cork. The little knob is just really nice to hold with my stubby fingers.

Some good news for backers. They're going to have addons in the backerkit.

Snippet from Update #11

We`ll offer the following add-ons in the backer surveys:
• single Miniature grip V3 (with and without bar)
• single Miniature holder V3 (with bar)
• single adapters and adapter sets
• extra corks

Damn...    If I had the cash, I'd be throwing money at this hard enough to put dollar bills through wooden doors, lol.

I already have some home-made things similar to these, but those bars would be useful since the way I hold the mini while painting differs greatly from the way they did it in the video, and those cork adapters look really nice....
