CAV SO Bones - Terran Force: Simba, Ronin, Katana.. & Epic Showdown

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I did it! I finally finished painting my CAV Terran Force, which means that all of the CAVs I own (and got from the 1st Kickstarter) now have some paint on!

Woohoo !!!!

Well that will last only until I receive the goodies from the 2nd KS.

And finally, I couldn't resist to stage and take a pic of an epic GDI Vs NOD (eh... i meant Terran Vs Rach) face-off.
I thought it would be a nice way to wrap up this painting adventure.

Picked up a bunch of the CAV terrain before Christmas t use for CAV and/or 28mm sci-fi gaming. Have been working my way through it and thought I'd post what I've finished so far.

Masaki here (03524) is simply a wonderful, clean, dynamic sculpt, and a perfect foil for O-Sayumi (60191). While you were learning the virtues of the carp, he studied the BLADE.

Did some image searches for Edo-period prints of storm clouds, lightning, and rough seas. Not perfectly satisfied with the ocean aspects of his robe, but the lightning and clouds will do for now.

      Click for more angles:

"Again we meet! So, the shogun sent you to kill me. He chose assassins well. Your strikes--swifter than the winter wind!"

"And yet no swifter than you parry! But no, Masaki. You fight like twenty wolves. The shogun would never have you killed."
      "Then who?!"

(If there's one thing the genre teaches us, it is that this will not go well for Masaki.)

Brief word of introduction. I know next to nil about CAV. My current interest in it is solely from a painting perspective. With that in mind, please excuse any blunders I make.

So, I'm a painter looking for some cool stuff to paint. I see CAV's mechs. I think "I like mechs, those look cool, I think I'll grab some". Then my eyes flicker upwards towards where it says "10mm scale". I think you can see where this is going.

Long story short, how big are these? It looks like they come on 1" hexes, and $4.99-$6.99 is quite a lot to charge for a small mini (in my opinion, of course).

      Many thanks, all!

I had painted a flail as a test model, and then decided to do a group since it was an easy color scheme.
had too many tags, but it's a pillager, wolverine, flail, outlaw, and poltergeist
