A few new updates to this about a 4th tier of models, Frost. Basically, even more heavily dressed and armored, modeled by Tre Manor!

 

Not sure if he's doing the whole model, or just modeling clothes on dolls they send him. I like Tre Manor's work a lot, so this looks interesting. With 5 days left, they need to push out some wip's that make me want to back this.

 

I believe it's the latter. Kev sculpts the bodies then sends them to Tre to do the garments, hair etc (anything that might go on top of the clothing & armour really). At least that's the impression I've gained from the last few updates about the frost variants.

Yeah they said they were sending the "dollies" to Tre to add the clothing. Assuming they need to keep the base sculpt the same on all so it is the same model in 4 different outfits.

If they are going to work on unlocking frost variants for the last 5 days at least I don't have to worry about adding any more money.

Frost Katarina is awesome, I put in a few bucks for her. Still a bargain given the savings for 12x resin master pricing.

 

Arty said for the winter and frost variants, Kev will most likely resculpt some of the more pinup stances to be more warlike, as well.

I would hope that they do not simply let Tre dress an already existing sculpt, as that includes quite a lot of restrictions and limitations to the sculpting. I'd much rather want to see Tre to sculpt from scratch, so that it becomes a trademarked Tre Manor sculpt.

I disagree, it's a collab project. Tre will be working from existing dollies, the resculpted winter ones if possible (some won't need resculpt). I'm excited to see what Tre can do with a Kev dolly, and so are a few others. Should be at least one WIP up soon (on a non-KS dolly, just a proof-of-concept).

If it was going to be a 'Tre Manor sculpt' then he'd just make it and release it :)

 

This is a whole new beast! And will hopefully lead to a bunch more such collaborations. We have already done something similar with a French sculptor for some new Sci-Fi stuff.

Not gonna be that many sorry. We'll have a finished shot of Pin Up Dawn, plus some more dollies and armatures plus some WIPs from Tre.

Of course 30 years from now, when someone starts a thread asking who sculpted this old mini they found, answers will be a lot more difficult. I can imagine the arguments now. "No way, those are Kev hips, he had a knack for anatomy" "It's gotta be Tre, his clothes are so delicate, no one else was sculpting like that".

A slight divergence from the 'Frost' variants to a different kind of Tre mini :D

I was planning on not backing because the pin up stuff isn't a big draw for me. But the combined might of Kev and Tre is too much to resist.
