Kev's dedication to improving his anatomy work alone is why I'm a fan. Of course, there's lots of other reasons, but that's the one that leads them in my book. He's always tried for very characterful sculpts, but if you look at the improvement in anatomy over the years, it's remarkable. All while keeping the character he's known for.

 

Also, it was probably the best deal that will ever exist for HF minis, as far as price for the US market goes.

I just hope the pledge manager is illustrated when the time comes for it, which I expect could be any day now. Referring one page against the other is hard for me. Not insurmountably hard, but it makes my brain overheat.

New update with only one pic... but it's a good one. I absolutely did not expect that I'd want a Ksenia figure, but the living "winter" version looks amazing! The update was posted to showcase her face, which is fantastic, but it's her understated armor that's doin' it for me. That functional breast plate with the leather skirt looks both believable and aesthetic.

No idea what those disks are on her leather skirt but they look bad elf. The knee protectors really hammer home the idea that she's a serious fighter. She obviously doesn't want to die, but we all know she will. At least she went down swinging.

 

Does anybody else think that a diorama of the living version battling the skeletal version might be cool? Maybe twin sisters who battled for inheritance of the crown, only the looser never gave up her claim.

I agree with everything you stated. I was not planning on getting a copy of her but I love almost everything about the finished sculpt.

I would say that the skirt is "studded leather" and the disks are metal or hardened leather "washers" to reduce wear caused by the metal studs.
