Just found this thread now, it's so magnificent!

YES!!!!! RELEASE THE MADNESS OF THE FAR REALM!!!!!! AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  But...its not far, its right there, you know, next to him.

Thanks everyone!  I always try to bring my big cool projects to future Reapercons, so if you can ever make one, this should be there!

Light is one of the things I'm learning and so practicing it like this is helpful for me!  Rhonda Bender (Wren) is a great resource for OSL.

I'll have to pester her again one day when I figure out what the cats I'm doing in the first place.  ^_^   She was super helpful when I painted eyes onto Drak.

I still remember watching Bryan almost drop Ebonwrath not realising that the work of art being handed him to look at was the Bones version, and expecting something much heavier. To be fair of course, I wouldn't have believed it was not the metal one with how well painted and good it looked if not for seeing the WIP for it.

I would never have been able to do this project without bones.  I love them specifically for that reason.  I can cut them without breaking out the power tools!  it makes conversion and random fiddlings sooooo much easier.

Hooray for Bones!!!

Holy crap. I'd be hiding under the blankets too, if I didn't know that wasn't real. That is terrifying and awesome!

I half expect to see the bits the light touches sizzle a bit.

I really wish I could see this in person; as great as it looks in pictures, the full impact must be something else again in real life.

Holy Chrome!

Looks killer!

Just wondering, as it is hard to tell from the pics, are you going to define the child under the blankets more?

It looks comparatively amorphous compared to the nightmares to me...

Thanks!

I think I may just leave the kiddie.  I'm not actually that good at painting freehand anatomy and I like the contrast with the focus on the nightmare.  I'll look at it again though, because I may be able to tweak a bit. I still haven't attached the vertical part, so I can still fiddle to my heart's content!

  Thanks to all my forum buddies for all the support and help.  I really appreciate it and it helps keep my motivation up!
