Question for October 3rd, 2016

It's the first Monday of October. If you celebrate Halloween, are your decorations up yet?

I have no decorations to put out/up.

 

If I find some I don't remember having, I might do some internal decorating.

Is that a creative way of gobbling down halloween candy?

It is not**. I have not yet purchased any dedicated, pumpkinesque candy. Didn't have any trick-or-treaters last year. Just as well. There is no place just inside the door for a chair. Sitting out on the porch battling bugs is right out.

I'm glad a lot of people have good reasons not to.
I over do it every year, and I am sure by November 1st I will be cursing the mountain of stuff I have to put away.

But it was something I enjoyed every year as a kid, so I feel like I should repay the favour.

 

I am hoping for a bigger turn out this year now that more people have moved into my neighbourhood. Lots of little ones down the streets.

If I do set up decorations it will be very minimal.  Maybe just a pumpkin decorated candlebox on the front patio table while I sit there waiting for trick-or-treaters.  I've got a lot of random crap going on and pulling everything out then putting it away just adds to the list.
