IMPFESTATION! By Glitterwolf. Mushroom Fairy and Imps

A little while ago I purchased Hasslefree's "Fairies Wear Boots" piece.

The Gothic Punk like Fairy stomps on candy.

 

Now I kept thinking that it would be fun to have her chasing little Imps and stomp those into the ground.

So I got me some little familairs and stuff from Reaper.

 

Then Malefacus ( Al) send me a wonderful Mushroom he sculpted.

 

To top things off, Knarthex ( George) send me some stuff including a nice oval wooden plinth.

 

Thinking about it all, I realised I now have the ingredients to start on this piece.

 

The Idea is the Fairy chases Imps and Stomps a few into the ground. Maybe she swallowed a growth potion or something.

Now she can finally have her revenge on those pesky Imps!

 

The Mushroom watches the whole scene in horror.

 

I will not use all these Imps/Demons, but I will take my pick which will suit the scene best.

To complement the large Shroom, I will include some smaller resin mushrooms.

Today I sculpted a litte terrain with milliput.

The idea is a forest ground, a little mud, autumn...

 

Here is the setup.

The Mushroom King watches the scene, the little ones aren't sentient yet..

 

The Fairy has been bullied all her life by these little demons, now she got hold of a growth potion.

 

One Imp/Little Demon is down in one of her footsteps.

Another is just escaping the boot while two others are already running for it.

 

The mushrooms are the only thing glued on yet.

The big one and the minis are not, except the unfortunate one who is stomped into the forest ground.

 

I wanted to give the feeling of the demons suddenly being attacked and so they are fleeing in all directions, not all will make it.

The Fairy has had it with them.

 

As long as the potion works she will use it to get her revenge.

Today we had a few sunny moments, so I painted some stuff while sitting in the garden.

 

Some Scale 75 Deep Red., Sandal Wood.

Reaper, Carrot Top Orange, Blue Liner, Blackened Brown.

 

Just to get things started.

 

I noticed I had put the head of the trampled demon backwards, so I corrected that.

 Will you have an imp directly under her boot about to get smashed?

 

One thing I noticed - for the little vampire girl, you might want to bend her a little bit where she's attached at the base so that she's leaning forward a bit and not quite so completely upright. It'll give her more of a sense of forward motion.

In the setup pics, you'll notice a hordling just escaping the boot.

So he is not under it, but she will miss him just by a few inches.

 

Good idea, I will bend her a little, the other two are already easy to lean forward to get that running motion.
