About this project

Rust is a brand new, totally unique world for your tabletop miniature games. The pieces offered in our RUST terrain line are suitable for any 28mm to 35mm gaming system, and will spice up your table in any Post Apocalyptic, Alternative History, Dystopian, Weird West or Sci - Fi Setting.

What sets Rust apart from our previous offerings (and really EVERYTHING else on the market)? Every piece of RUST terrain comes with adhesive transfers used to cover the ENTIRE piece! That's right, the beautiful pictures of terrain you see in this Kickstarter are exactly how they can look on your table!

Want to know how we did it? Then check out this video for more info:

Link to 'How To Video' and Instructions (near the bottom of the page):

The terrain pieces are made primarily from MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard), and all pieces required to complete the kit are included. Additional details parts consist of Grayboard (very heavy duty pressed cardboard), Oilboard (a heavy duty paper, typically used in stencil making, that is flexible and takes paint well), Drinking Straws, Heavy Duty Cardboard, and PVC Tubes, Styrene Rods, and Chain. All of which holds up great under the rigors of heavy gaming.

All Terrain comes unassembled, figures are for scale purposes only and are not included.

At the beginning of this year international shipping rates were increased and we realize that it can make pledging expensive, so we've decided to try something new to help out our international backers.

We are offering a very low international shipping rate if you pledge for a full table.

In short, we'll be paying for a large portion of the shipping. Unfornatually, becasue of the pricing structure international shipping we won't be able to offer discounted rates on smaller pledges.

If you are curious on the why and how the international shipping cost are figured out and what we've done regarding them, check out our ' So what's up with International Shipping cost?" FAQ

To keep things as simple as possible, we have broken the international shipping into 3 groups:

  • If you live in Canada, Mexico, or South America use the CANADA shipping option.
  • If you live in Australia, New Zealand, China or Japan use the AUSTRALIA shipping option.
  • If you live in the UK or Europe use the UNITED KINGDOM shipping option.

Just enter your shipping region on the Table Pledge Level, or if your doing a custom pledge enter it into the pledge / shipping calculator (see the 'How to Pledge' section) and we'll figure it out for you.

If you are from another part of the world that we don't have listed here, send us a message and we'll figure it out for you and let you know how much to add.

Experience has taught us that we can't possibly come up with a reward level for every single option, so we have a "Custom" pledge level to cover anything that isn't a pledge for a full table.

To make things easy for you we have a pledge and shipping calculator here:

If you want a table, and you want to add additional pieces to it simply look at the pledge for which one you want, then select the shipping option, and then add in the amount of the additional terrain. There is NO additional shipping charges to add-on's to the table pledge for International Backers.

For example, if you wanted just the table that would be $300, and if you were in the UK shipping region that would be an additional $45, and then if you wanted to add an additional Wall Set at $40, your total pledge would be $385

But how will we know what you want?

Simple - after the Kickstarter is over, we'll send you a survey where you'll be able to the tell us what your selections are!

I've backed several Impudent Mortal kickstarters and have been quite pleased with the products and the timeframe they're delivered in.  I love the idea of "pre-painted" but am not a fan of post-apoc, and in particular the colors and textures used on these terrain pieces.  I hope it does well though, so they can expand to the genres I'm more interested in.

I asked the creator for a future project of Zombicide-compatible 3D terrain.

I'm pretty impressed in this video how just a few walls make a difference (0:23).

Just a fun little surprise I happened across earlier.  No pictures of the dice and it's ending today, but some really nice ones on their store and I've friends who own some so I thought I'd give it a go.

Welcome to the Great Wall draft page – the campaign is not live yet, but we will be gradually adding more and more information about the game here! We are incredibly excited to hear your feedback, so please let us know what you think. If it looks interesting to you - make sure to click the "Notify me on launch" button!
The Great Wall is a new major board game from Awaken Realms (creators of Nemesis, Tainted Grail, Etherfields and many other acclaimed products). Players will take the roles of generals of an ancient oriental empire who lead the defence against ruthless hordes. You will need to gather allied advisors, manage your workers, recruit armies and, together with other players, raise and defend the Great Wall! As the game progresses, you will often need to co-operate or negotiate with other players, but make no mistake – there can be only one winner!
This fresh worker (and soldier!) placement game for 1-4 players faces them with many difficult choices and often pushes them to interact with each other. You will be assigning your workers to eleven different locations, such as Tea House, Quarry, Messenger Post, or Barracks, using special Command cards that have additional effects. Production in locations activates ONLY when all their slots are filled, but filling them all by yourself can result in a penalty. On top of that, players can buy overseers who will give additional output every time a location becomes activated. This creates a lot of involving long- and short-term strategies.
Each player starts with one unique General, characterized by their asymmetric power, as well as the production level. From there, you will further customize your economic engine and fine-tune your strategy by recruiting advisors who provide additional bonuses.
Eventually, a Wall Defence phase beings, where players place previously build armies on Horde Cards – earning Honor (Victory points) and looting resources from the defeated troops. This requires smart management of three types of units: Archers, Spearmen and Cavalry. Players place these soldiers one by one, playing the Tactics cards that create another layer of interaction.
Gain meditation by shooting with the Zen Archer, then spend meditation on a Cavalry Squad Leader to move your Cavalry around the battlefield faster, and – finally – finish off by getting extra Honor for each of the Cavalry’s engagements thanks to the Banner Holder. There are endless possibilities for great combos and memorable plays.
On top of that, your Advisors and General might give your troops extra abilities, such as shooting twice or looting twice the resources!
All of the above makes the Great Wall one of our most strategically involving designs that will be appreciated by many different groups of players: those who love euro-styled games with their intricate economies and engine-building, those who love over-the-table play, bargaining and negotiations – and finally, those who simply like to wage war on a beautiful map.
