Thanks Malefactus, Krulebear, and Hiddenone32 !

Your kind words boosted my spirits about what I had done on the mini.

Its quite the challenge when you start trying to enhance your color options.

Thanks again.

He looks really awesome!! I love their minis - so cool :D

You've done a really great job, I love the direction you went with his eyes (yikes bad pun :P) Frogs and Toads can do that! so it works really well.

Just a lovely little guy well done!

Thanks Xherman, Citrine, Guildenstern, and Pingo !

So glad you like him.  I've been doing a real lot of experimenting with my paint, colors, and working the colour wheel.

The going into that red highlight really accented that chocolate brown I created, and the flowers on the base really compliments

the highlight colors.  I've been really enjoying all the challenges.  My fears of "poor color choices" was all in my head.

There are even five shades of white in his apron.

Thanks again.

I must confess I didn't read the 'Tuck' properly haha

Having said that, really nice work, specially pulling out the clean white and its shading.

Thank You HenryRequiem (there must be a story behind that handle).

White is one of the most difficult (along with black) colors to use.

You have to work it slowly, and build up to an almost white.. you NEVER go to absolute white (unless you are doing NMM).

Thank you for your comment !

Jay

Painted this dwarf after he inspired me to write a D&D adventure.  It's a really cool fig with plenty of neat little details.  Comments and critiques are always welcome!  Thanks in advance!

"I have great admiration for the Norse mythology, and I find the style behind this culture fascinating. So, I decided that my third Kickstarter project should be related to this style that I admire so much. On this opportunity, I will present some characters to you that I hold very dear. These Norse Goddesses are among my most recent personal creation, and I hope you like them as much as I do."

Like the post title states this is a set called Agamemnon and the Minotaur by Northumbrian Tin Soldier. I’m not all that good with photo skills so it’s rather hard to see that I did the Minotaur in a black & white milk cow theme.

Fun model though and goes back to the 80s cult classic Time Bandits (I really need to watch that movie again).

      Hi Reapertronics!

So these are two I've been working on for the last week or so, two really small Tom Meier sculpts from Dark Sword Miniatures, ones from another post on the forum where I was complaining about eyes. Two really fun figures I think, excellently sculpted by Meier. Here's the first one:

and a few shots of her face up close.  The eyes aren't perfect, but they turned out better than the first try before my repaint:

and then here's the male halfling thief. He's nice and basic, with a classic old school feel. He almost gives a Bilbo Baggins type of feel to this is you ask me:

and then here they are together:

and to give you an idea of their size, I put them next to a few recent reaper models, a few of my favorites, the female hobgoblin archer (metal version with nose) and the other one is one of the dark gnome gals:

So anyhoos, lots of photos, hope you enjoy!
