I don't know why it's that shiny; he's had 2 coats of dullcoat....

 That's odd about the Dullcote...are you sure you didn't pick up the glossy spray by mistake?   You might try hitting him with Dullcote again when atmospheric conditions are ideal.

I may very well do that, or use some brush on instead, since my weather probably isn't going to be good for the next few months.

I've always liked this min. He looks good. The shiny cloak actually looks kind of bloody which is fitting. I'd leave it like that.
