Popular Post amuller33
OK so I picked up the new Learn to paint kit at Reapercon last weekend... and here are the results. Im a mildly experienced painter and the emphasis on Shades/layers/glazes/lining hit the sweet spot of my learning curve. The more experienced painter may not need such advice, but hey you get a bunch of new (mostly) Bones paints some brushed a 3 fun minis! I tried my hardest to follow the color scheme laid down and did quite a bit more paint mixing than I am accustomed to doing. Probably the single most important thing I took away from it, don't be afraid of the paints. By the time I got to the gnome, I had to change the scheme just a little. Hope you like and constructive criticism is more than welcome. AJ PS I wish I was better at taking pics, I swear I lot a lot of the shading work I put in
CorallineAlgae
I think these came out great. You tackled three very tricky colors, red, white, and ebony skin, and all of them look very nice. The blue on the pirate's pants and the halfling's cape came out beautiful. You definitely gained a level.
Wombat Warden
Having tried that halfling thief and dunked her in dettol twice, I know how tricky she is. Good job!

vegascat
Very well done! If I wasn't saving my cash for December, I'd have picked this kit up. Dark skin tones continue to vex me, so my hat's off to how nicely yours came o

Base coat 3 shades and 3 highlights, seemed waaaay to much for me at the time.... lesson learned
