Question for November 30, 2016.

Help the next person out! What would you like to ask your fellow Forumites?  ^_^

What do dragons do with all of those princesses they kidnap?

How do knights armed with lances fight flying lizards?

what sort of uniforms will you make your minions wear?

what player character/critter type can you never find a mini for?

how do you drink your tea or coffee?

what are you building?

Question for November 30, 2016.

Help the next person out! What would you like to ask your fellow Forumites? ^_^

After breaking up a long-term relationship with my "life-partner"/SO, etc. I jumped back into the pool...

So I have an actual 2nd date, with an actual Woman(!) & I'm not sure what sort of thing I should bring. For context on our first date I brought a single red rose. For this one I'll be going directly from work, so won't be able to stop anywhere for more flowers, so thinking of something a little less perishable. What are Reaperites' collective wisdom on what this should be? Thinking something nice but not too overstated...

Damon.

Should we be answering this question now, or is this one to come up in December?
Seems like the wrong forum/thread...

...and time-sensitive enough, it ought to have its own thread.

Probably the wrong thread to answer this, but here's my two coppers...

I wouldn't think bringing anything to a second date should be necessary. The flower was a nice touch for a first date. You're not hiring the woman, she shouldn't require gifts at every date. Depending on the woman, she might even see bringing a gift on every date makes you look creepy. There are exceptions: if one of you is cooking dinner, the other could bring a nice bottle of wine. And random surprises are a good thing, but they should be random.

There's a more appropriate forum here for dating advice?   ::P:

I've been playing a ton of Kingdom Death over the last week. Everything is random chart rolls right now.

Are there any weird pop-culture elements in your region that simply haven't translated to other areas? Like Polkaroo for Ontario (and Newfoundland, I guess?), or House Hippos for pretty much all of Canada...

Do you enjoy watching construction?

Have you ever done anything nice for someone in secret and never confessed?

What's your favourite winter-related memory?

Do you want a hippopotamus for Christmas?

Will only a hippopotamus do?

What about a house hippo?

Sorry if this is a little morbid....

If you suffered a major disaster of some sort and lost all your hobby stuff, would you start over?

The rules: as they were last month (in addition to all regular forum rules) except where I sneakily changed them:

      1. Every day, or so (unless I am out or ill or something) I will post a question. †
1.5. Should I be unable to post a question for the day, a crack team of deputy quisitors, former quisitors, and random forum members are all chomping at the bit to step in and post one... ††
      2. In theory there is a 24 hour span to answer that question before the next question is posted.
2.5. (Rule 2 is the most frequently ignored rule.)
      3. Questions are going to be posted sometime before 1 AM Reaper time (US Central).
      4. Everyone is encouraged to suggest future questions to be posted via PM to Talespinner or Morihalda…
      5. You do not have to answer every question to play...
      6. If a question is TMI or N/A simply wait for the next question.. ..or post that you decline to answer (clues regarding why can be fun...unless TMI).
      7. Weekend questions may take the form of two or three day quests, starting on Friday or Saturday.
      8. Pix always welcome.

The first question will need to be posted after a brief (10 minute) pause to foil the merging of posts.
The footnotes, because I can't resist doing †††footnotes:

      † I will aim for 0600 Reaper/Nottingham time.
††  If subs and backstops could wait until 11AM in Reaper/Denton's timezone to see if I remember.
      ††† …because I re-remembered how to do the dagger ( † ) symbol.

      October 1st and 2nd's Question:
Suppose you are in a coffee shop hanging out with middle school version of you (or a clone with the stolen memories of yourself at that time, cast into the future to prevent a paradox).
If you were talking about who you were going to be as a person when you grew up versus who you are right now, how different is what you both want?

Edited for formatting. And the question has been updated. The niceties must be observed.
