After thrice-plundering the rice pudding against the orders of his deity (and his code of conduct), the Poky Little Paladin went roly-poly, pell-mell, tumble-bumble down the alignment scale until he came to the fiendish end and stopped short.  "Dear me!", exclaimed his deity. "What a pity you're so evil! Now my forgiveness is all gone!" But the Poky Little Paladin snuck out later and dug a hole under the fence to find a new patron...

I attempted to do implied lighting on this guy, but the specular qualities of the metallic paint made this really hard because it was shiny under some light and transparent under others.  Is there a trick to doing this with metallic paint, or is the trick really "don't do metallic paint"?  :-)

To get the "implied lighting" effect you should look into shaded metallics or TMM (True Metallic Metal).  I don't really know much about it, but those search terms should help you out.

To get you started, here's a Massive Voodoo tutorial I've seen linked around here before.  ^_^

I started my Benedikt Project. It is going to be a present for my brother Benedikt.
I assume this guy will take me a very along time. The mini sits on my desk for s long time but Progress is slow. Maybe Posting here will get me some Motivation.

I will try a style with stark contrasts of light and dark like some of Frazettas works.
The mini will get a special Base but that is a long was to go.

      So lets get started.

Presenting the Gladiator, part of the Echoes Of Death series from Kingdom Death.

Another one rescued from the Cupboard Of Unfinished Things. My Kingdom Death minis always turn out fairly hit or miss, and I think this one falls a bit on the miss side, but I like the job I did on her shield.
Just wish they'd stop with the dramatic dust clouds, can never figure out how to paint them!

As always, any comments or criticisms are warmly received.

Hello everyone, here are pictures of 02811, Dain Deepaxe. This one took me a little longer to finish. There is so many details on this model, it's amazing. This Dark Heaven Legends model was sculpted by Werner Klocke.
