I am excited by the croc as a level 1 huntable in the gamblers chest.

its not amazing but a solid monster, that I'm not embarrassed to put on the table.

I dont like the way the Gorm or Bees look, and added the FrogDog in spite of the figure, not because of it.

The child eater looks good too.

not impressed by the fog/boob beasts.

Didn't try to parse al the new strain rules,  ill worry about them later, don't want to use the brain space.

- sad I didnt get the CoD  - it seemed pointless at the time, due to how few of the first gen expansions I owned ,

although I have since added Dragon and Dungbeetle.

I got the chest as part of the BF package -  so super cheap.

I played the heck out of this game the first year, but haven't played or painted things from it more recently.

I think I will leave the GC unopened for a while, but even if im done playing the game regularly there are some fun things I want to paint.

take 3

They normally open the Pledge Manager for Black Friday, not sure if they accept new backers or not though.

Reopening for Wave 4 would potentially be a hit to my wallet...

Reading a transcript of one of the Gencon interviews (I'm too lazy to actually watch it), it sounds like we've got a very rough ETA of Wave 3 shipping around Gencon 2020, but production takes around 6 months, so it's all dependant on Poots getting everything wrapped up in the next few months and not having any more brainwaves.

There's some other neat titbits in there too, the legless Spidicules campaign sounds like it's going to be fun. Basically:-

Spoiler

Your Survivors come across an abandoned settlement with the Spidicules in it, and over the years it learns to talk to you and stuff, eventually it figures out how to get around again and have it's revenge against humanity.

update coming soon

And now it is here! (It's pretty NSFW though, lots of giant naked people)

Liking the look of the encounter system, even though it'll probably just go in to the big pile of game parts I'll never get to.

But if Poots keeps putting out updates like this, I won't have anything to complain about any more.

I really like the idea of this for game mechanics. I think I might actually use this one pretty regularly.

Well, as usual its a mixed bag of news.  So many new and beautiful things, but such a long timeframe to get them done.  I have always treated this as more of an art expression than an actual product of a game.  Poots and his team work to make the masterpiece they want to express, not meet the deadlines.  If it takes longer, it just does.  Its nice work if you can get it, but I don't think anyone will complain about the final product (unless we all pass from old age before its completed)  when it finally arrives.

a lot of his game mechanics drive other games and companies to do more and create better things so even the material that is slow to be realized in KD:M does cast its reflections in the gaming world.

Besides, I haven't finished our first campaign yet.  it will be a while before I need new stuff!

Poots is the Tool of the gaming world. It takes the time it takes, and it will be awesome. I don't understand why so many people rush everything and sacrifice quality.

That's one reason I'm a fairly slow artist, it takes the time it takes. I see a lot of the kids here (here irl, not here on the forum) pumping out mediocre art when I know they're better. It boggles my mind.

I’m curious why you think his game mechanics have influenced any other company or quality for that matter. He is a pretty small player in the game and miniature market.

Gotta agree with Kangaroo. It's hard to say the game is all that small when it pulled in 19k+ backers and $12,393,139 in pledges for the reprint (plus some new expansions). Some people suspect it may have pulled in more funding afterwords, just from pledge manager add-ons., than some of the highest backed board games on KS. After the original printing of the game went gangbusters, a fair number of board game manufacturers started coming out with dark themed, adult art games populated with highly detailed gruesome horror minis. Projects with creepy minis and/or stylized pin-ups started popping up way more after KD:M became a thing the first time around.

Looks like about 210 miniatures (including 3D tokens) for the Investigator pledges?
Investigator pledges are $10 or $20 more than their counterparts for the first KS.

      Pretty busy KS schedule:

Overview The 1000 page Hardcover Series by Jason Brubaker has finally come to it's epic conclusion. Now is your chance to collect all six hardcover books at a massive discount! All six books are first printing. The series will NOT be reprinted in this form again. Once they run out-of-stock, these collector books will be out-of-print. There will only be 2000 to 2500 copies of the complete series available. Hi, I'm Jason Brubaker and this is my new COMPLETE comic called Sithrah.
I've worked as a professional Storyboard Artist, Animator and Visual Development Artist in Hollywood for 20 years on movies like Blade, Pitch Black, and the Kung Fu Panda Trilogy. In 2015 I quit my coveted and cushy job at Dreamworks Animation to pursue self-publishing my own graphic novels and I've been doing it ever since. My first graphic novel series is called reMIND and it won a few awards.
      Sithrah 5 - 176 pages
      Sithrah 6 - 208 pages
Sithrah is a project very close to my heart. It is a journey about "the Leap of Faith" of a little girl who travels in and out of the spirit world to try to find her missing father. It is heavily inspired by my love for Miyazaki's movies but with a western worldview.
For this final campaign, I am printing the last 2 books in the series. The artwork is complete and pretty much ready for the printer. The last 2 books contain a total of 380 full color pages.
Best of all, the final book is not scheduled to be released until the end of 2020 and so only backers will be able to read the full story without having to wait for the release date. If this campaign does really well and we sell out of copies, you will be the ONLY PEOPLE who will have copies of Sithrah 5 and 6.

The only reason I am able to print these high quality books is because of you. You guys have come through for each campaign and made it possible for my crazy stories to get published. You are my financiers, friends, editors, collaborators, inspiration, motivation, mentors and marketing partners. I could not have done any of this without you. You have changed and blessed my life in so many ways on this 5 year journey to complete Sithrah and I cannot thank you enough for helping me get these books made and onto coffee tables around the world.

50% off of my entire back catalogue.
Indiegogo exclusive! I am slashing the prices on all my old books for this campaign. This will be the cheapest price that you will be able to purchase Sithrah or reMIND. That means that you can get the entire Sithrah 6-book hardcover set for as low as $99.
Get Sithrah 6 a YEAR before anyone else!
The release dates for each book is spaced out by a year for retailer orders and Amazon orders. That means that only you will be able to read the final Sithrah book a year and a half before it's release date and 6 months early for Sithrah 5.
And if we sell all of the print run in this campaign then it means that you will be the ONLY ones who have a copy and I not release it in stores or on Amazon. Why would I limit the print run? Because the previous books only had a print run of 2500 copies and in order to print more copies of Sithrah 5 & 6, I would also have to reprint Sithrah 4, 3 and 2. And since I don't have that kind of money laying around I will not be reprinting those older books again.
      Win Exclusive Gifts
You are my marketing experts! I need your help in spreading the word to all your friends and family and in return I will give you exclusive gifts and rewards. Watch the video below to see just how easy it will be to get something unique from this campaign like a sticker, art print or original inked page from the books.
      VIDEO
      Book Specs.
Sithrah 1: Kingdom of the Air -  96 pages
      Sithrah 2: Propositions - 160 pages
      Sithrah 3: The Symbol - 188 pages
      Sithrah 4: The Deep - 176 pages
Sithrah 5: Light City - 176 pages (NEW)
Sithrah 6: The End - 208 pages (NEW)
Only 500 copies of the new books have a signed and a numbered collectors bookplate.

Art Contest - Get Your Art Printed in the Book!
Just like my past publications, I want to include some guest art in the back of the printed books. And so… ART CONTEST!!! Submit your art while the campaign is active to get a chance at getting it published in the gallery of Sithrah: Book 5 or 6. Send me your amazing artistic version of the Sithrah characters to be printed in the book... FOREVER! If you make it into the book, you will be credited with your art.

The page dimensions are 6.75 inches (wide) x 10.5 inches (tall). Please make sure all art is 300dpi when scanned. The deadline for submission is the end of the campaign. Please send all submissions to CoffeeTableComics@gmail.com for consideration. I'll pick the final winner(s) for the book. :)
      Add-Ons
I will be offering Add-ons when you take the survey after the campaign is finished. You will then have the option to add single books to your order as well as copies of reMIND and other books of mine at a discounted price. Because there are already so many books and options with this campaign I decided to keep the Add-Ons separate. But not to worry, you will have the option of adding things to your order prior to shipping.
      Timeframe
The books are pretty much ready to go to the printer. I'll be preparing the files in InDesign while the campaign is active. The moment the campaign is finished I will deliver the files to the printer. The printing schedule will be about 2 months and so you will get your books before Christmas. International orders might take a little longer.
      Why so Much Money?
I've been making beautiful hardcover graphic novels for 10 years now. Sithrah: Books 1 - 4have already been printed with high quality cloth bindings, foil stamped covers and thick delicious paper. Yes, I said delicious.
To wrap up this series, I am trying to print the final two books at the same time. It usually costs about $12,000 to $15,000 to print just one book like this, and not only am I printing two books, I plan to make a collectors slipcase as well. The shipping costs have been anywhere between $8000 to $30,000 on my past campings and so that is why my funding goal is $45,000. If I don't reach this goal then you will be refunded and the books will not go to print. But I am confident that we can easily make this happen.
      Win Inked Pages and Prints!

      --------------------
I'm a backer of the previous 4 books, and have also backed for these two books.

I've been running games for 20+ years and I can hand wave AOE or mark it out with dice etc, this just looks like it would be fun and satisfying to see the full fireball effect in living color so to speak.

      About
"...Aulë made the dwarves strong to endure. Therefore they are stone-hard, stubborn, fast in friendship and in enmity, and they suffer toil and hunger and hurt of body more hardily than all other speaking peoples; and they live long, far beyond the span of Men, yet not forever."
      -J. R. R. Tolkien
Dwarves really are the best! While they're often a bit rough around the edges, they have the best accents, are insatiably loot-hungry, and will fight anything that moves—so we are going to make a bunch more of them!
We've assembled them into adventuring parties to make it easier for us to pack and ship. You can add an additional adventuring party to your base reward for $22. Additional individual dwarves can be added to your base reward for $5 each. For a slightly larger view of the minis, check them out on our blog. Here are the adventuring parties:
From Left to Right: Male Dwarven Brawler, Female Dwarven Bard, Male Dwarven Deathknight, Male Dwarven Druid, Female Dwarven Warrior
The League seeks out the ancient dwarven knowledge hidden deep within the lost caverns. They hope that, in time, civilized dwarves will once again inhabit those hallowed halls.
From Left to Right: Male Dwarven Rogue, Female Dwarven Sheildbreaker, Male Dwarven Battlerager, Male Dwarven Mage, Female Dwarven Archer
Hogg's Tavern is not the sort of place that anyone should visit . . . at least not anyone who values their life or health. Surprisingly, it has regulars. Its patrons are usually adventures past their prime or looking to make a name for themselves.
From Left to Right: Female Dwarven Mechanist, Male Dwarven Automaton, Male Dwarven Gunslinger, Female Dwarven Automage, Male Dwarven Investigator
Not everyone has embraced the "advances" made in the Steam Valley workshops. When the Savages descended on the valley, the Seigebreakers and their constructs helped turn the tide against the invading armies.
From Left to Right: Female Dwarven Vampire Hunter, Male Dwarven Undead Elite, Male Dwarven Necromancer, Female Dwarven Huntsman, Male Dwarven Warlord
The lands beyond Raven's Gate are shrouded in perpetual mists and haunted by the undead. Only the very brave or the very foolish venture there. Why not both?
From Left to Right: Female Dwarven Barbarian, Female Dwarven Berserker, Female Dwarven Wandsmith, Male Dwarven Fighter, Male Dwarven Barbarian
The Iron Hills are not an easy country to grow up in. There's bitter cold winters and orcish armies locked in perpetual combat. That's not even mentioning the greatwolves. No one ever mentions the greatwolves.
Every Stretch Goal we hit will add more dwarves (or dwarf-related miniature items/companions) to the Completionist Set. When we have enough of these for a new adventuring party, a new party will be formed. Here are our stretch goals:
At $7,500 the Female Dwarven Cleric will be unlocked and added to the Dwarves Vol. 2 Completionist Reward. She will also made available as a $5 add-on.
At $10,000 the Male Dwarven Buccaneer will be unlocked and added to the Dwaves Vol. 2 Completionist Reward. He will also be made available as a $5 add-on.
As we hit these stretch goals, more dwarves will be unleashed!
